La Parilla has a festive atmosphere and has great food. La Habichuela is more remantic, and very good. Both of them are a short cab ride, and way better than the Americanized restaurants in the Hotel Zone or by the clubs. I should exclude Lorenzillo's from that group, and I hear it is very good.

It seemed to be closed down when I was there in December.

We always go to Cambalache (an Argentinian Steak House) - same plaza as Coco Bongos and it's fantastic food. Budget for 100 - 150 per couple dependent on drinks.

Only advise - go on a REALLY empty stomach - as you can see below from the pics - the portions are massive - LOL!! :icon_surprised:

The beef shown below is based on 2 orders - LOL - now we order only 1 and it is more than sufficient haha - !!

We went to the Brazilian Steak House as well. VERY unimpressed, and not worth the money. We have better Brazilian Steakhouses in OHIO !!
Best one I have ever been to was in Bogota, Colombia, called Alo Brasil (I think) I tend to judge the others from that standard.
