We drive to Orlando so we can go direct. It's cheaper then going though Jacksonville and if we did go through Jax we always have a layover. The only thing that sucks is having to drive 2 1/2 home at the end of vacation. It's totally worth it though when we get there so early in the morning. Brent and I were actually at the bar at the Orlando airport at 7am when it opened last year to kick off our trip. You can imagine what shape we were in after that, then drinks on the plane, then drinks on the ride to TTR.....then shots upon our arrival to TTR to celebrate. LOL. We almost didn't make it out that first night.
Matt was my best friend's personal trainer. She and I worked together and she kept begging me to meet him on a daily basis, but I didnt think I was ready for another relationship so soon after a divorce. So, one day she invites him to come have lunch with her and meet me at work. What she didn't know was that I had requested the day off, so it was a miss, but he did meet ALL the ladies I worked with and when I came to work the next day they ALL were telling me I HAD to meet this hot guy. So I agreed to go to the gym with her for her next training session so it could be a casual meeting. 30 minutes, a spin bike and a killer workout later, we had a date planned for that weekend and we have been inseparable ever since.
I actually met Melissa's sister first. I got her number but was way too shy to call her. A month or so later Melissa walks into a class at our college and I thought she was her sister because they look a lot a like and I was going hey thats that girl.....i finally figured it wasn't her but asked do you have a sister that works at so and so. She said yes and I do too. Needless to say 24 years later I got the right sister for me!
April, I know they have vanilla vodka because I drank that with cranberry or orange juice last year - M
My favorite vodka is the whipped. It literally tastes like an orange dreamsicle when mixed with OJ! LOVE IT!
Hi all, sorry for the absence of postings. 'Real Life' has been too time consuming lately. Anyway, I will chime in on all questions for those who are interested: I initially found Temptation after searching and searching for an 'Adults Only' resort. We went to Playa del Carmen last year at an all-ages resort, and it was so annoying having kids around when you are trying to get your drink on! We have a 4 and a 5 year old at home, so when we are away from our kids, we want to be away from *every* kid. Anyway, I meticulously googled, read trip reviews, etc. and I came up with a 'top 5' list. Temptation was on that top 5, and it was the least expensive. Trav is a penny-pincher, so he was drawn to that one first. I further researched it and I thought we could potentially have a lot of fun there. In our first walk to the Sexy Pool, I remember thinking that everyone was staring at us. In hindsight, this was probably because it was about 4:30pm, we were fully clothed and we were sober. This at Temptation *is* an oddity. Anyway, we slpped in the pool, and within the first 5 minutes, Trav is prodding me to take my top off. So, of course, I think, "What the hell" and "When in Rome..." Maybe 30 minutes later, we were approached by a group of 3 guys. They immediately started man-crushing on my hubby telling him "Oh, man, what big arms you have" blah blah blah - kind of like the Brent/Darin/Mr Mac mancrush situation here on the forums. That was probably the most interesting thing to me on the trip - the amount of men that man-crushed in a hetero way on my husband. Then, the guys' wives came over, and we female-crushed in our own way. All was well in the world. Trav and I both prefer the same drink: rum and diet. And, man, is it delicious at Temptation! Sometimes I will go for a fruity mixed drink in the morning - again, to avoid that stigma of hitting the hard stuff before lunch, lol. I do try to stay awya from Tequila generally - have you ever heard that country song "Tequila makes her clothes fall off"? That is literally my life story. lol Which, at Temptation is not necessarily a bad thing, but it's still a little dangerous to say the least. And... like Brent & April, Trav and I used to work together. THat is how we met. I initally did not like him. He comes across a little arrogant and a little too know-it-all for me in the workplace. And, let's be real here - if Trav was telling this story, he would say that I come across as an 'Ice Queen' in the workplace. Honestly, I thought he was kind of an ass. Let's just say it was not exactly love at first sight. It took me years, actually, to have a real conversation with him other than just hum-drum work stuff. Eventually, he started coming into my office on a daily basis to chit chat, and I realized he wasn't really all that bad. That workplace relationship blossomed into our marriage today. Trav can *still* be an ass and I can *still* be an ice queen, but we've worked it out.
That is one of Melissa's staple drinks. Always have whipped in the cupboard and it's great in gummy bears.
