My days are pretty well booked up, but I do have time in the evenings. Arrive on Friday and leave for Vegas on Sunday evening.

If I had to guess, I would say there were maybe 10 CCC couples during week 1 last year. We already have us, the Macs, Brent & April, D&M, Ali & Andrew, antcicle (probably mispelled), Jen & Kyle, captain chiming in towards the end of our stay, our Canadian friends, Brent's Canadian friends... let's see.... I know I am forgetting someone incredibly obvious... and probably a couple couples at that. I have never been known for my memory - even while sober. So... this little group may actually be the 'majority' of CCC-ers during October week 1.

I will say that we didn't book our October trip last year until the middle to end of June-ish. I think this time last year we were *considering* it... but I think we were still a little apprehensive that we would be mauled by swingers like Darin & Melissa. (lol, I kid, I kid) Actually, to put it more eloquently: I was convinced, but it took me a good 4-6 weeks to convince my hubby that we would have good time down there. Like I said, he is a little wilder than me, and he was concerned that we would get down there and I would clam up and have a hard time letting my wild side out in public. Now, of course, he knows better. ;-)

So, I guess my point of that rambling is that there are probably some stragglers out there that will be coming on board during the next few months. I think it took me until August to find/join/start to talk on the forum last year. And, even so, I was still pretty quiet. I would put my money on that we pick up 5 more CCC couples before October comes.

 

Ah, I remember when my old job took me out to Vegas. Those were the days!!!

Trav and I went out to Vegas right about a year ago... and we were there 4 nights maybe? And I think we spent a grand more total than we spent for our all-inclusive 6-night stay at Temptation. Drinking in Vegas is *expensive!* Hopefully your employer will be covering your tab. Enjoy your trip!

 

My Employer does take pretty good care of me so outside of gambling, I won't be spending much. This will be my third trip to Vegas this year so I am a bit burned out, but there are definitely worse places I could be going to.

 

Hey, easy now! I am sure that you now know that swingers aren't as bad as you thought. You will probably be surprised but outside of telling you where we stand on the issue, you probably would not have an idea we are any different then you guys.

On our week last year a group of like 60 couples came together and they were in your face, here we are types. They scared us to death. We talked to a few individually that were nice but the group changed the whole atmosphere of the place.

 

You are right! Some of the swingers that we met were some of our favorite couples down there. And, like you said, we would have had no idea that any of them were swingers, really. We only were 'propositioned' by one couple - and really, I blame that on the fact that Travis was passing me & my boobies around like a piece of candy, so really, someone watching us from afar probably though that we were swingers just based on behavior alone.

Now that I am re-reading what I wrote, I hope that came off the right way.

Anyway, I guess my point is that we were only propositioned because of the way we were acting. We politely declined, and we have a *very* interesting & fun conversation regarding the lifestyle. They were great people! Just not our cup of tea, so to speak.

 

My, what a rough life you live. Vegas 3 times... a week in Cancun... I feel sorry for you! ;-)

 

One couple we met said they only like to go places and hang out with the swingers because the are the funnest, easiest going people to be with.

 

Traveling a lot for work only sounds glamorous to those that don't do it. I would much rather be spending my weekends at home with my family than working in an Expo Hall in the middle of nowhere. This upcoming trip to Vegas is one of the few trips I do look forward to though. We will have a very large group of people from my company there so it is fun to reconnect with many of co-workers on a more social level. Very long hours though when you combine the work part of the trip with the social aspect.
