I fly AA on direct flights, or only if there are no other good way to get where I am going. I give away my Aadvantage awards to one of my kids. Are direct flights to Cancun from Houston crazy expensive? One of our group from April flew from Houston to Cancun with a stop in ATL. I have flown thru Houston when going to Cancun.
We are flying AA in June, with one stop in DFW. Can't change flights now, but either way I have experienced major delays with nearly every airline I have ever flown. I will just be happy to be on vacation and not doing house/yard work. Hope you made it the rest of the way issue free. ~Shawna
We were delayed several hours both directions last month. Never had that problem on United. But I hear they are short on flight controlers is why there are so many delays now. What makes me mad is I pay extra to arrive and leave at an exact time, then end up arriving at a time that would have cost less if I had of booked it.
I made the mistake of trying to save $ by taking Delta out of DFW to Cancun a couple of years ago. After being delayed for over 5 hours because our plane was given to another flight, I vowed to avoid Delta at all costs. It's hard to avoid American out of DFW, but it looks like Southwest is going to start flying international routes out of Houston in a couple of years...
We have a stop at DFW too! We arrive in DFW at 10:30 am and depart at 11:10 arriving in Cancun at 1:45pm. Is your flight number 2029 by chance?
No, we don't arrive at DFW till 2:10 pm and arrive in Cancun around 6:50pm Long day of flying from Portland, but all worth it in the end. That would have been fun to meet some fellow TTR June Junkies as well as other single ladies and preparty on the plane. ~Shawna
We too flew with AA on our trip April 12-19--EVERY flight was delayed--planes not in on time, no flight crews, rude flight attendants--I could go on and on. We've flown numerous times per year for 12 years, and not once have we ever encountered this horrible service. First and last time for AA if I can ever help it. We too pick/pay for specific departure/arrival times--and usually pay extra for that choice. When you're 8-10 hours late--what's the fricking point??
