We're planning a trip with a newbie couple and they have an RCI timeshare. We're trying to plan based on having knowledge of all options but my investigations keep going in circles. We'll suggest they call themselves at some point but in the hopes of planning a bit further in advance I'll pose the question here. I understand that they will need to pay the $65 per person per night for full all-inclusive rights but does the fact that they are RCI members (owners?) entitle them to white Premier wristbands and all the perks that brings? I'm really hoping someone with inside knowledge knows the definitive answer to this as I keep finding info that suggests both. Thank you in advance
We are RCI members and visit with our RCI. RCI members get to check in at the RCI/Owners desk and generally get their choice of rooms, at least we always do. However that is where it ends. You don't get a white band or any other owner perks
Do you pay the posted TTR normal low or high season rates per room for 2, of I think $108 & $130's or is there a special low RCI rate for either season? Also do you have an additional RCI charge, above using up you nights, that you have to pay to RCI or TTR for booking at TTR? Just trying to capture some specifics. Thanks.
There are all different All Inclusive fees depending on your dates of travel. You'd have to check the RCI site for your specific dates. I think we paid like $85 per night per person for July. This includes a private transfer from the airport for your group. I think RCI charged us like $50 for the exchange and the resort charged us nothing extra. Basically its about 50% of what it would cost booking straight thru the resort website. We also like it because of the personal RCI concierge. I e-mailed her about 2 weeks before our trip with requests for room and to set up our transfer. She called me personally to make sure everything was up to spec and to make sure nothing was lost in translation. i.e. we went with another cpl so she made sure we had rooms next to each other. BTW the pics on the RCI website and the TTR website were taken from our balcony. That's how awesome our room view was LOL. My wife ripped her corset and when I called down to RCI concierge to ask for a safety pin she sent someone up to sew it for her within 5 minutes. I can not say enough about the service we have gotten by RCI on our trips to TTR. Even though RCI doesn't get the Owner perks, if you ask for them you probably will get them
There is a difference between being an RCI member and a Premier member. You will not be a Premier member unless you joined RCI at the same time you purchased your Premier/Original Resorts Timeshare. RCI has two types of memberships....Exchange and Points as well. I know it gets confusing. The highest bracelet is worn by the Premier owners.....they are suppose to get a few perks like the Bali beds and their own bartender on the beach, the rooftop jacuzzi at the sexy pool, etc. They are suppose to get the high end booze without asking for it as well ( but believe me..you still have to ask for it ) haha.
Thanks for the great answer and details. Sounds like you have a great deal and service package with RCI. Nice treat that they provided a seamstress to solve the clothing rip. I am laughing out loud here because I do the sewing for us and I could just imagine me trying to do a repair after a day at the pool and my wife coming out of the shower only to find me drunk, passed out on the floor with a sewing needle stuck in my hand and a spool of hot pink thread nearby that matches he skankilicious evening attire. God I miss TTR. Cheers !
