I agree completely. We are originally for the SF Bay area and I am still a loyal 49er fan. In fact, my two favorite teams are the 49ers and whoever is playing the Cowboys.
Option A won. Hooray. Now the important stuff. For some weird reason there is no direct flight from philadelphia to cancun on Oct 3rd or 4th. So looking at a 5th arrival. Not sure if we will do 5,6,7 nights and return 10th, 11th or 12th. After all we just got back 3 days ago so it feels wrong leaving for a full week again but really what will determine exact timing is kid coverage. So we will start on the gparents and sitters and then hopefully book in a couple weeks once we are sure the kids are taken care of. I was surprised to see the nightly rate on both alpharooms and orbitz was way higher than what we just paid for April. Especially since April is high season and October is low season. Will track that for a little while and hope it goes down to the $130 rate we got for April. If anyone sees something in that range let us know! Thanks.
Oh and we get a hot tub room every time we go. We usually upgrade thru the resort after initially booking a low rate room. Some risk that way but costs the least. Hopefully it will work out for October.
Hardrocktampa welcome to the thread, I noticed how many post you have and assume that you have been to TTR before. Me and Hannah Mac my wife are going for the first time Oct. 3-9 and couldn't be more excited We have gotten to know some awesome people on this forum and hope to be a blessing to them all. What's some of your favorite things to do at TTR? We are TTR virgins but are looking to let loose be open and have a fantastic time!
Congrats! I was checking out rates last night as well and found the same. Rates the first week of October were much higher than the previous week and the 2nd week of October. There also didn't seem to be many good flight options. Not sure why, but we will be holding off as well and unless the rates come down for that paticular week, we will probably be booking a different week
