Looking to explore Isla Mujeres on our own between June 10-17 anyone want to join us?

Can't believe we are so close to June!!
This year we want to explore Isla Mujeres on our own one day during our stay. (To take the ferry back and forth, check out the beach and the shops around)

*** DATE SET FOR THIS IS --------> June 16, 2013

- meet in lobby at 8:00
- depart by 8:15 (walking 10-15 mins 1/2 mile down from TTR)
- purchase ferry tickets $17 roundtrip - get on 9:00 ferry
- go explore Isla Mujeres (pair up with people who have the same plan in mind (ex we want to go to playa norte, eat, turtle farm, explore/shop/look around get on a ferry back around 4pm)
- Meet up for lunch at noon to all eat together
- Go back to TTR - pick a time


We will catch their first ferry at 9:00

To return - they have boats leaving at 4:00 and 5:30 (last one).

I think we are going to try to shoot for the 4:00. Now if you stay past 5:30 , there are other ferries but I believe they will drop you off farther away from TTR therefore you will have to go with the bus/cab to TTR rather than walk back to TTR like in the morning.

We would love to go with you. We do a island trip each year. last year we went in a group and it was a blast. We took the water taxi over, rented some golf carts and cruised to whole island. We stopped at the sea turtle farm, went around to the other side to see all nice beach houses they have. They have a very unique cemetery you can walk around (sounds creepy but it is very colorful and pretty). We stop downtown to eat at a nice little restaurant, and return the carts and go shopping until we are ready to catch the water taxi back. It is one of our favorite excursions on the trip.

Count us in, and the crew we went with last year will also want to go.

Hey guys! Going in a group will be a blast. I see you guys are staying two weeks but hopefully we can agree on a date between the 10th and the 17th.

Vic and Brandy here. We went last year with Troy, Heather, Thomas, Tabi, and 2 others, we had a blast. We would love to go back this year, so count us in anytime after the 14th.

 

We have been to Cancun 10 times (only once to TTR) and have never visited Isla Island, count us in we arrive on the 14th.
