Just PM'd you.....So far our membership has worked for us and we're happy with what we did. We haggled a lot and got a few extras for the price we paid.

Our membership came with a neat-O new white bracelet, and if I lose it, which I am wont to do from time to time, no $50 replacement fee. That in itself is worth a third of the membership price, the way I losse things when drinking.

We got some free weeks, but I parsed the language of the contract, and Stacia negotiated hard. We're a good team. I kept repeating the core terms of the deal back to Luis, and we were with Jonathan as well, and when the contract came out it had all those core elements in it as well as a couple extra freebies, but no free shuttle.

Our story is similar to yours. Bought in 2004 & have upgraded twice. Works great for us but we had issues that we had to keep up on. Glad we did. We still use the $49 flights (actually they are $52 now) along with our free weeks. We don't have a free transfer either but using USA Transfer keeps the cost down & the service high. Our week in Feb cost my wife & I $70 each for hotel, AI,airfare, & transfer. We shared our transfer with friends. Yes our upfront costs were high but if you do the math we don't even come close to the $ 1000 per person per week some have mentioned. I'm not selling timeshares because everyone has their own thoughts & opinions of them. It does kinda grind me though when people bash them when they don't even know all the facts about them. :icon_neutral:

Yes it is. When we upgraded about 4 years ago that was when RCI & Premier were having all their problems & things were really difficult for the members . What was a good deal all of a sudden wasn't. AI prices for members many times exceeded what tour companies could offer in package deals. This when a lot of negative info about the memberships came out. And rightfully so. The sales team at that time included a bunch of, let's say bad people. We were fortunate to hook up with Luis who was honest & was trying to work for us, the members. Today Luis is in charge of a lot of the operations.( He plays too much golf though. ) It was at this time we upgraded again when a lot of members decided they had enough & cut their losses.
I'm not going to discuss numbers because like I've said many times on here - every contract is different. It's what you can negotiate with them. I would never encourage anyone to buy a membership the first trip, however I think the tour is helpful & informative to someone there the first time. I know people don't want to lose a couple of hours of their vacation cause they might miss out of a few drinks. ( I was one of them ). I like to think I'm a little more rounded person these days.
Again I'm not selling memberships & if you are not interested fine, I understand that. I'll just keep enjoying my $70 trips :icon_razz:

Being a member we save an average of about $800.00 (per couple, per trip). I always check the travel sights when we go to compare. In our case, it has already paid for itself. (upgraded once). Not to mention all I do is call and tell them when I will be coming and the next day I have a confirmation.

Yes we do. We figured out on our first trip that TTR ( Blue Bay at the time) was where we wanted to spend a lot of vacations at. Plus we didn't want to pay the money that you do.

If you are seriously wondering & I'm not being sarcastic here....take all of your questions & talk to the Premier staff. They really aren't the deamons people make them out to be. :sauer005: That way you can get your own perspective.
