We are looking at the forecast for next week, Mar 24-31 and it looks like a bit of rain is forecast. Scattered showers, Few showers, etc. Anybody know if this means lots of rain, or just an afternoon sprinkle or no idea at all? And if we do encounter rain, what do you do for alternatives. We usually spend our day in the sexy pool and evenings in PatyO's.
Hey Bob & Kim Forecast for Cancun almost always has some rain in it, as it is not uncommon for there to be a light 10-minute shower once or twice per day. In the winter months or hurricane season, you can get days where you are rained out, but I'd be very surprised if that happens the last week of March. I was there in mid-April last year, and that's what we had at least half the days. Our first day it rained a good part of the day, but it was a misty sort of rain. At the end of March, the weather should be much the same as April, which I consider to be near-perfect: sunny every day, hot enough that you can sit in the pool all day and not feel chilly, but not so hot that you have to get in the pool to cool off.
Pay no attention to the weather reports. They are almost always wrong. Only problem when it rains is you drink more!!!!
we were there at the end of Febuary and it was cold and rainy for days with just a few breaks of sunshine.....honestly, it is a real buzz kill and there is not much to do without the sunshine and sexy pool .....but that is the exception..usually it doesnt rain all day even when the forcast is spotty
Last year in the last week of March we had several days that called for rain. There was only one day that the % for chance of rain that got over 60% and if I remember correctly it was like 80% chance mostly cloudy... we got some cloud around 4-5pm with a super light sprinkle. I have been watching the morning temps for the last month and it hasn't gotten on the coldest day below 65deg in the morning. On average it has been 77deg in the morning and right now at nonn here in the midwest it is 84deg in cancun while it is a balmy 22deg in Minnesota
Our first trip was April a few years ago ,it rained for 3 or 4 days straight, hope that is super rare though. :umbrella1:
Last year I was there from 29 to 6 no rain at all was 36 42 with the humidity factor (c) the whole week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks everybody. I'm sure we will have a great time no matter what. Its 18(f) here in Wisconsin. Bob is snowmobiling on Saturday and we will be in Cancun on Sunday.
