Generic at Wal-Mart and Sam's were both around 3.00. Sam's a little under, Wal-Mart a little over and they both support a tent real well......... 10.00 is more in line with the Hotel Zone RXs.
As far as we remember, they stopped the music at 2am and had a last call at the bar just before then. If there were a lot of people ordering multiple drinks (due to the closure), they did stay open to accommodate those drink orders, which may have been a little after 2am by the time they were done. But, as far as TTR staff are concerned, the bar is closed at 2am, have a nice day. The Buffet was also not open, and the burgers cooked at Paty O's stopped when the bar closed - but with the same accommodation for anyone in line waiting (they served people food who were waiting before they closed). If you got up and wanted a 3am snack or libation, I don't know where you would get it there, nothing is open. We don't want to go out to the hotel zone off the resort that late at night, and I don't think we are the only ones. We also have no interest in going to a different resort or bar and then paying for each drink, as opposed to getting our "all-inclusive" deal at the resort we booked and paid for. I would not have expected them to shut the bar down at 2am at this type of resort, especially given all the people from different time zones, and the whole "party" image/ambiance. Like I said before, we are from Pacific time so for us it was only midnight. That was lame! If they advertise 24 hour food and drinks, they need to change that if the 2am bar closure is permanent.
They weren't taking our multiple drink orders even early, like 11 or 12am. They'd say basically it is too bad and we can't do it.
so glad itss' just not me haveing a go. But bet the hotel has no intension of takeing any of it on board. It'll only happen when the numbers start to decline. They have already started hikeing up the cost. Its a fantastic place but plase dont rip us off.
Sarah was there when we were so she knows what I'm talking about - sometimes the bar would get really busy around midnight and it took forever to even get one drink. We got multiple margaritas on our second night, it was white night and Friday, and just before the bar closed - but that is what my husband said, I was so wasted that I don't even remember that - lol!! I stopped drinking tequila after that night, stuck to the captain/diet coke or my own vodka and sugar free lemonade I made in the room. Since the party doesn't really start at Paty O's until around 11pm, to close at 2am is beyond stupid - I could see shutting down the bar and music by 4am, but 2am is just too early for a place like TTR.
All I can say is WOW!! Why the hell would they close the bar at 2 when they have such a diverse crowd, makes no sense at all. I have noticed that my bookings for this year have been more expensive than last year which I can deal with, but lets get serious and not cut services. After all, if we all wanted to be good boys and girls we could stay home and go to our local pub and cheer last call at 2 for a fraction of the price!
Yeah, 'open' meaning you can sit down there if you want until 6am, but does't mean anything going on. I do like your idea of just taking a couple of cans down and making your own party. Thinking about it, I've no problem if they shut the music off at 1am, like you've said - it get's the arseholes to the clubs rather than lurking around Paty Os.
We were just there from Feb 12 to Feb 28, 2013 and Johnny was serving drinks till after 5am, whatever we asked for. Beers, shots, Premier Members were awake too and getting their Premier Drinks. Jose I think his name is was also still cooking burgers till 4am. Must of been a bad week or so cause we did not see a difference in service. However people were leaving the resort with half empty bottle and even full ones and giving them to us before they left, so we also had those to drink. On our last night we had 9 bottles of Grey Goose Vodka, Jack Daniles, Barcardi Rum, Don Quillo Tequilla and I just left them on a table and told everyone to help themselves when the bar was extremely busy and you didnt feel like waiting in line. The only thing that pissed me off was someone actually took 2 full unopened bottles and left, and scored a bottle of coke and orange juice. But whatever, hope they had a major hangover in the morning, good Karma !!!
