There will be 15 or so from IL with our group on the last weekend of April. Our locations says STL, but we actually live in IL. If we say that we live in IL, everyone asks what part of Chicago we are from.
wow, there is going to be an onslaught of midwesterners in April. where can one from the northeast purchase a translation booklet? being from pa we may have a slight language barrier, seeing we use words like (g-eat) translation -did you eat.(yinz or yunz) translation -you guys.(stiller's)translation -steelers, best football team out there.and the most universal word in pittsburghneese is (jagoff) translation-asshole,dickhead,douche bag,and any other colourful word you want to use.we speak fluent Canadian( as long as it isnt in french) and we are looking forward to partying with you also EH!
I had to laugh at this, because due to my career and family, I pick up on all accents and slang as I talk to people. Werder (water) as my son who is now in jersey calls it, hey y'all, (Tennessee family). Ne ha moue ( my Chinese clients) dos cerevsa por fe vor (TTR) etc... So as we meet and talk you will learn a whole variety of slang from my neck of the woods.
