There were quite a few Chicago-ans during week 8... Tammy and Chris, Liz and Jason, and at least one other couple that I am drawing a blank on right now. And those are just the ones we met. We didn't meet a whole ton of people after forming our little group in the first couple days. Anyway, the misery of the midwest in the Winter is as good a reason as anyone could need. So tired of seeing that grey cloudy sky already, and I've only been back 4 days!
Forget it! The place will be overrun with English!!! Me, Blanco, Lee, Gail, Anastasia.......well, we're British, so you'll know we've arrived!!!! Oh and Malcolm ex Yorkshire!!!!! :daisy:
I always come back from TTR saying man, those Canadians are fun & boy can they party! Maybe this trip it will be us Midwesterners that can party!
Is this the right time to ask if there is an easy way for the uneducated English ear to detect the difference between an American and a Canadian accent (shall I put my tin hat on now?). I know you guys find it hard to differentiate between an English and an Australian accent, which to us are sooooooo different! :daisy:
Uuummm pretty sure you are all very mistaken. Once the Albertans show up there will be no doubt who has taken over TTR. Of course we may annoint a few of our friends from BC as honorary Albertans just 'cause they really know how to party too. They rest of you....will have to earn your membership. There will be membership meetings at the sexy pool at 2:00 every afternoon. The enthusiasm and creativity you DISPLAY during these meetings WILL have an effect on the approval of your membership. Anyone who is denied membership may appeal the board's decision in Paty'O's at 10:00 every evening. LOL. :lotsofmichaelfs:
