I can run all day long on an elliptical with little to no pain... But that doesn't do me any good for real world running which is what I'm trying to get to...

When recovering from a knee injury I found barefoot on the treadmill helped. Your foot hits more naturally and therefore there's less impact on the knee.

You just might have to stick to efx until you loose more. I know it sucks but I can't run on the street because of the back pain i get.

Ended up going to the gym with the hubby last night for 1 set of the personal trainer workout. This morning I did an hour and 25 minutes of a Biggest Loser workout on the Wii. Got in a crazy good sweat... Those bastards, started it out saying it was only 60 mins, but the time just kept ticking by. lol

The knee always hurts even when I am sitting or sleeping. I am missing the posterior part of my menicus since it was removed in july. It needed to get removed as I was popping my knee cap out three times a week and locking it and I spent 10 months on and off crutches or limping.I know that barefoot walking helps cause no shoes to control the foot but when I walk I am missing the cushion between my bones. I also have a spot about the size of a quarter that is bone on bone. All I can do is work it with as little pain as possible. My quads also have a hard time doing flexion and extension as I lost so much muscle. This April trip coming up will be extremely hard on it. Humidity makes osteoarthritis worse and in the past it has swelled up alot. Last year I spent alot of time icing it. Doesn't help that I will be dancing all day/ all night as sambuca is the best pain killer ever.

Anyways I don't like to think about my knee pain too much. It's a downer and I have been living with it since I was 15. On the up side I got in 30 minutes aerobics, and 20 minutes of legs and abs. Time to kick ass.:deadhorse: MINE The best thing I can do for my knee is take off some serious weight and lesson the load.

Did an hour and 25 of yoga this morning and turned the electric fireplace on to make things more interesting. Tonight hubby is going to stoke a nice big fire and we're going to do yoga together in front of it. Kinda scared. lol

Hey everyone, wondering if you've heard of this 8hr diet? I'm going to give it a try so far day 1 the most difficult part I find is stretching out the meal for 20 minutes. Eat slow but as often as you want over and 8 hr period then fast for 16hrs.
So this am I usually eat breakfast at 9 I held off till 11 to then I can eat supper before 7. They say you can eat whatever you want but don't go hog wild over portions. Seen a young fellow on TV and he lost 17lbs in 3 weeks. Anyways going to give it a try and will let you know how its going. Cause I'm not having much luck with what I'm doing now.

Im tempted as well to get my body to start losing again..

Its a crash diet... And not necessarily an effective one. From all of my research, if you are trying to lose weight slowly and safely, 5-6 meals a day, 3 hours apart are the best for your metabolism. If you fast, your body changes the way it burns food stores because it thinks you are starving... Eating slowly for a long period of time keeps your metabolism somewhat going, but then you will crash during the 16 hour fast...
