I think someone mentioned coco bongos and the steves booze cruise these are the two things I remember most from our first trip to cancun...they are "musts" for those whom have never been rob/t
Xel-Ha was amazing. We are going there again this trip but bringing an underwater camera this time. The who area is really nice, but I spent most of it swimming up and down the snorkel area (river to the ocean) with tropical fish, never seen anything like that before.
We are thinking of jumping the ferry to Isla Mujeres and renting a golf cart to explore the island. Any details on how/what/where would be greatly appreciated! Of course, we would like to grab a few beers and cooler - so you know if this is an option? Anywhere else we should hit along the way? Thanks
We did deep sea fishing trip last year. Caught a bunch off Tuna, some other fish and my wife caught a hundred pound sailfish. We had about 8 people on the boat and it was very inexpensive. Just out of the dock a little down, an easy walk. Probably won't this year as we will preTTR at Key West and will fish there. Oh, its rough water, take your dramamine.
We would highly recommend taking a trip to Isla Mujeres. You can get on a (air conditioned) boat that is about 1/4 mile walk up the beach and it's maybe a 30 min boat ride.We have done this for the past 2 years with our friends B&C and it's a lot of fun renting a golf cart and riding around. Beautiful scenery and great food.
Sounds great! Did you stop at a liquor store for beer once you rented the golf carts? Can you recommend anything we should see while driving around? Anyplace to stop for a cocktail with a scenic view?
Oh yea..there is a beer store right beside the place you rent golf carts It's actually a very small island and you can cover all of it in just a few minutes of riding around. There is a pic of the view in our profile pics. The place we ate at was to the left of where we docked at. I have no clue what the name is but it was very good and you are seated on the patio with a view. it was a small place but food was excellent.
