Our favorite excursions would have to be Xel Ha, Xcaret and a day on Isla Mujeres.

It's true you probably won't want to leave. Check out the Boobs Cruise for the same party atmosphere as the resort with the benefits of an excursion. We also have several times gotten up early and walked down the street to catch the Ultramar ferry to Isla Mujeres. $17usd per person return. When you get over there rent a golf car, grab a beer (you are allowed) and tour the island. It's awesome. We stop at Jacks Bar and Grill for lunch in town because we now it is owned by an US couple and the cleanliness and food quality are high. Hundreds of little shops on dozens of streets to walk in town. If you are looking for an organized excursion I don't think we have had a bad one. Explor is relatively new and looks AWESOME. Google it or go on trip advisor.

Cancun has lots of excursion options - in addition to the above there's Mayan ruin tours to Tulum, Coba and Chitzen Itza. As well, there's snorkeling, and jet skiing in the lagoon.
    Enjoy your trip.

Basically if your there 7 days and do the Boobs Cruise you won't have a need.

If your there 14 days look at doing an all day thing around day 10 your liver will thank you .

We always do the Boobs Cruise and also take the ferry to Isla Mujeres on our own. Unfortunately, our livers never thank us for either of those excursions.

Common misconception; it's been said the Liver needs lotsa' water to stay healthy... it needs the water to actually be INSIDE our body to do any good... just drinkin more alcohol while we're out on a boat SURROUNDED by water won't gitt'er dun'...LOL

thanks for the responses :) .. i think were definitely going to go to isla mujeres, but its still kind of a toss up between chichen itza which would be amazing to see but its seems like it would be a long day with having to drive for a few hours each way or doing xplor or atv's or something like that
