Footwear is the one that take most of the space in our luggage when we travel, so for our April trip we want to keep it to a bare minimum. We have determined that 8 pairs (3 for him and 5 for her should be the maximum).

    For Him:
    - Flip flops or slip on sandals for pool
    - Strap sandals to walk medium distances at beach or going to Walmart, etc..
    - Now for the 3rd I have 3 options: Dress shoes for partying at night (Paty-Os and Coco Bongo) , Leather sandals or sneakers. What would be more useful?

    For Her:
    - Clear cork wedges for walking around pool and bar daytime
    - Flip-flops to walk around pool and beach
    - Clear stilettos for night partying (and themes)
    - Black or red stilettos for night partying (and themes)
    - Now for the 5th there are 3 options: CFM boots, Regular high heels, another set of stilettos or sneakers. What would be more useful?

We'll appreciate any feedback from TTR veterans :)

    Thanks!

For HIM I would skip the sneakers unless you plan on running.
A comfy pair of dress shoes is a good idea for dress up eating.

    For HER
    I would never limit a womans shoes!:icon_cool:

I (lion) will only bring 2 pair.

    Running shoes and my sandals.

She (zebra) has at least 3 planned for outfits, runners and sandals.
    God knows what else :)

That is exactly what I told him...LOL... The original plan was 2 pairs for him and 6 for me... He can get away with flip flops and leather sandals (which he can use for walking around town and at night at Coco Bongos and restaurants. But he is worried some places might ask for dress shoes). I like comfy shoes to walk around town (which we plan on going and for a trip to Isla) that is why I thought of sneakers... he thought of sneakers cause he wants to go jog but I told him he can jog barefoot at the beach, correct?

I may be a guy but I like shoes. I am bringing runners for jogging, dress shoes for some evenings, nicer runners for some evenings and flip flops for the pool. I always bring more clothes and shoes than Jacquie no matter where we go.

We have been there 10 times and results vary at the reservation eating places. I've seen shorts make it in and I've seen them turned away. I've seen sandals make it in and turned away as well.
SO if he wants to run, then I would bring running shoes, dress shoes and a pair of flip flops.
Jogging on the beach barefoot, I wouldn't take the chance of wrecking my trip due to a cut up foot.

I'm gonna need pictures of the MRS shoes to make my choices, oh and put on those cute dreeses so I can see the whole outfit!:wink3: LOL!!!

If you're wearing those, he needs dress shoes for sure!
Do what we do and pay the extra baggage allowance, more shoes = happy GoGo. Happy GoGo = happy Blanco!

Oh we already know will need a 3rd bag but starting to think we might need a 4th one... LOL... he is bringing some photography stuff, that alone takes a full bag, shoes and makeup another bag, clothing in the 3rd one...so not sure if theme costumes might fit in at this point...

Honestly? I (she) wore my flip flops for every meal in a non-reservation restaurant as well as dancing in the evening. I did wear my hiker sandals for excursions and heels for the Nice Shoes portion of the evenings. And I live my shoes ;)

He wore sandals until they were forgotten under a deck chair, runners for everything outside of reservation restaurants and dress shoes for those.
