Has anyone who doesn't get a flu shot ever gotten the flu while in Mexico during the spring? Has anyone ever noticed any flu outbreaks at the resort? My doctor recommended getting the flu shot, but I've never had it and would rather not start now. I'm not looking for a lecture about why I should get one, just people's experiences.
i know about the lecture crap, i have never gotten a shot either. dont plan on it either! not for a one day feel crappy thing! anyway i personally have never been fluey there, and dont know anyone who has. ive heard about some thing before at TTR. but i dont think its the norm. mostly eating too much, and drinking too much that you arent used too.
I am bringing my flu with me, you can have some if you want Get sick before you go, then party when your there. No shots for me, ever. Just my opinion.
I never get the flu shot, but wish I would have this year. I had the flu over New years and it was horrible. It's not a 1 day thing, it's more of a 5 day thing of feeling horrible. I really haven't heard of any flu outbreaks at the resort or TTR. You are probably much more likely to get it at the airport or plane.
Biomedical Scientist hat on - get the jab if offered, you don't want flu wherever it is. Swine flu is still about, and it can kill you. Nuff said. Party on. :daisy:
about 3 of our group came home sick but I would agree it probably was picked up on the plane or in the airport. I didn't hear of any sickness at the resort.......
yuk what a way to spend new years!! ive always been lucky i guess. i only get yuky feeling for one day then its gone!! so unless i ever get it diff. no shot. we had outbreaks of swine flu here at the school and nebver even felt ill once!!
If you mix your drink with sexy pool water that myth. Give you some. Side effects. Just take double shots of tequila ...LOL.
