I personally love just a plain french on my nails and bright colors on my toes. For the toes I do a "Shellac polish"...it last forever and will not chip !!! and it now comes in lots of pretty colors. This way you don't have to worry about touch ups.
Zebra got some sweet nails done last night, I love them. The toes were purple but the lady messed them up. I can see zebra taking the color off and doing it herself before we leave, we will see though.
I do a french on my toes and am undecided on the fingers...dont have tips but am considering getting them since i love the look of them, just hate the upkeep upon returning. I love the CEO gold color, going to check that out. Any input on gels vs. acrylics?
I'm doing a dark denim blue which is beautiful with a glitter overlay then cured with the gel overlay you get when you get your nails filled, so no chipping and all beauty!!! Also on my toes it really is quite pretty... Bt I appreciate any woman that takes care of her feet, feet are sexy as long as you keep em pretty!!!
How sweet! Blanco had bright blue toenails last December (no photos, I was forbidden!) but that was as a consequence of playing "Daring Darts" - one of my favourite games!!!:aktion033: :daisy:
In my experience, the gel nail allows for my nail bed to breathe better; whereas, acrylic is much heavier on my nail bed, but I have been told that my nail bed is very sensitive. This being said, I do like the look a tad better with acrylic as it is more formed and shiny. rangehat:
Does anyone know if you can get some kind of gel or acrylic top coat put over regular nail polish yet? Surely that's coming down the pipe soon. I find that the gel/acrylic nails are mostly bright reds, pinks and corals, which are fine, but not really my style. Otherwise I would have at least tried a gel or acrylic pedicure by now. Who cares if your toenails get wrecked...fingernails now that is a different matter. Thanks for your advice on gel vs. acrylic, Chantelle. I have a girls night out planned for this Friday with 3 high-maintenance blonde bombshells...I am going to grill them about this.
When I've had gels I get a French manicure, and next time a colour overlay to extend the wear. Any colour I want really. :daisy:
