Cancun is a great place but I have to be honest, I want nothing to do with putting myself out there for further risk of going to a Mexican jail. Granted most of my experiences are from when I lived in Yuma Arizona and had a house in San Luis Mexico, but I just have a hard time trusting the police in Mexico. Case in point the very last time I drove over there I was pulled over with my Spanish speaking girl friend, all the nice police officer wanted was me to pay a fine right there on the spot for some absurd charge. I always hid my money when i was over the border, so I showed him all I had was a check book... he wanted a check for 200$ this was 1995 mind you... and yes a border town. I wrote the check proceeded directly to the border to never drive again in Mexico ( canceled the check with my bank), it was taxi's or buses from that point on. Now I know there are bad cops all over the place, but I just can see the reward being worth the risk driving in a foreign country. I know you did not ask for my 2 cents so its worth what you paid for it. For me I will leave the driving up to the Mexican citizens and tip well. Good luck in your search !
wow... their prices aren't that bad... I'd like to do something like this, but not as much as i'd like to be at TTR lol And I just don't trust myself driving around roads there with mexican police like Tatas said... Track day event maybe... I would love to beat the snot out of an SLS.
Do this in Vegas - RACING SCHOOL, Exotics racing school is the ultimate driving experience at Las Vegas Speedway with Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. A real track with real instructors, real laws with real liability insurance. I wouldn't exactly trust the good folks in Mexico to ensure all systems are checked and the tires inflated properly to do a few 130 -150mph runs. I think Hertz is renting some sports cars these days, certainly wouldn't call a Corvette or Lotus exotic, but I think you can rent those by the day at Hertz and have a full day of fun.
Drive an IndyCar at Indianapolis Motor Speedway & Orlando's Walt Disney World Speedway Annette is doing the Ultimate experience in July at IMS. She does not look good in orange, or very good in a Mexican jail.
dave and audrey use to rent a car down there and they said they would get pulled over every day and you had to pay something on the spot.atleaset i think it was dave and audrey.
