Used them on our trip, we arrived on jan 26th and had no problems, but there was another couple standing at he counter when we arrived, they had used alpha rooms but the rooms had not been paid for, this was a Saturday late afternoon, 1hr and 30 min and could not get problem fixed so they checked in at TTR's rate. On Monday they talked to Steve on the boob's cruise and by Tuesday all was taken care of, They told me Steve was a big help. I'd recommend using the link on this web site.
I just used them today to book our room next month. Saved $100 per night over Expedia. I actually tried to use them yesterday but Bank of America blocked my card because of "suspicious activity" I called them and told them it was me booking it. When I entered my card info again the price had gone up 300 for the five days we where going. Anyway, you might contact your CC company before trying to book a Mexican hotel through a UK site! I figured that I see it enough on here that they must be trustworthy. I'll probably call in a week or so and double check with TTR, I'm funny that way.
I had to call London. It was not my bank but alpha rooms. Alpha rooms honored my original amount so I was only out 2.50 call. My debit card worked fine directly. My friend had same issue. The savings is worth the trouble. We used them last year too.
Going on my 6th trip in the last 3 years through alpha rooms. Never a problem. Just have to get your CC authorized before hand.
I used them and they were great. But you definitely should call your CC company before booking with them.
