Have to say I feel for the DJ's, they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. You've got people ranging in age from 20's to 60's, and countries ranging from USA, Canada, UK plus Latin countries. Then you have personal tastes, some like rap, some like dance, some like country, some like reggaeton, some like rock. Must be impossible to please everyone. Let's see how this poll turns out: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/26012-kind-music-do-you-prefer.html
Steve, I agree. I can't imagine trying to please half the planet with music. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Its not about what they play i dont mind any type of music its when they play the same two CD's everyday thats just being lazy
I understand that for the DJ's it's hard to please everyone, but you don't need to be an asshole. If someone requests a song, just smile and say I'll try. I said this in my trip report and it sounds like I may not be the only one, the DJ's are very rude!!!
The only way my husband got a song played was by bribing him with money. I won't say tip because I'm all for tipping but someone needs to do their job well and be kind to get a tip. After all that he still didn't play the right song.
It must be incredibly difficult to please everyone. Playing the same song over and over...well different people come and leave the resort every day, so most days at least *some* of the guests haven't heard the same song played over and over! What they need to do is change it up during the day, ease up a bit and take requests at the pool. Then, at night, go ahead and play the same old Top 20 stuff, but just try not to play the same song twice or three times in one night!
Some DJs have a god complex, they feel like what they play is the only thing to play and some are out of touch. I am not saying the ones at the resort are either of these, but from the feedback I have read where a request for a song gets a "F Off" reply and playing CDs on repeat is not DJing, that would be the same as hooking up an iphone, ipod on a playlist, just my opinion. I am looking forward to my first trip in less then 10 days and will report back what the music is like at Temptations
I agree that it's difficult to please everyone which means it's even more important to play a diverse mixture of dance, current top 20, and rock....and maybe mix in a little Kenny Chesney beach music as well
