Can anyone elaborate on what type / kind of music is played at Temptations? Is it 80's, current pop / dance? Just curious as I have seen a couple different types discussed.
Current dance tracks, e.g. international top 10. Played over and over again. You get used to it. They mix it up occasionally at the pool which is fun. There's also the obligatory 80s half hour near the end of the night when they play the same 5 or so 80s tracks. First trip it bothered me. Second trip, I barely noticed the music. Music is in the background when there's so many great people to talk to! I look forward to band night which is when they play the most varied music!
We just were there a couple of weeks ago. They didn't play what I would consider the most current top 10. But, pretty current dance music. I'd say current in the last year or so. It was the same basically every night but still great to dance too. Usually it is a type of club mix. I decided when I got home if I heard "Moves Like Gagger" one more time I might go crazy. They would throw in older dance music at times (Back that Ass Up, Baby Got Back, Get Low, ect) and also some 80's in there (Sweet Child of Mine and Shook Me All Night Long were played every night I think). The last night the DJ was horrible so I really hope he isn't there for your stay. He kept changing the music to slower stuff or this Mexican style music that was very difficult to dance too. He cleared the dance floor many times. But, we still had a great time. The music is just a back-drop to the fun your having with your new TTR friends.
monotonous club music over and over and over and over......actually last time we were there they did change it up a bit......but still. It's the only complaint we read about the place which we think has any truth to it.
Exactly what I was thinking.... the only senses I had functioning were my eyes and taste buds... and my eyes were in over load mode... Beautiful people everywhere! The taste buds where definitely working when some of those horrible shots hit my mouth.... holy shit where do some of you people come up with those mixtures!
When we were there in February last year the music was generally good and catered for most of us. They had a band on a couple of nights and they were very good. On the whole, the rock and good dance music kept the dance floor full. There was one night when the DJ was a complete ass! He managed to clear the dance floor by playing music that no-one liked and then abused anyone who asked for a change. We just went back to drinking, chatting, etc.:daveandmo:
