We got back two days ago and we already want to go back! We arrived on Thursday, Jan 24 at around 3pm and it took about 45 minutes to get through immigration and customs – longest by far of our 4 trips to Cancun. USA Transfers were waiting for us outside the airport and were worried because they couldn’t find us, but it was all good. We arrived at TTR at about 4:30pm and got a room on the second floor overlooking the quiet pool – 1205. We had booked with Alpharooms at the cheapest rate and Michael was fiercely negotiating an upgrade for us. They did not have a room available that we wanted the first night, and so we did not unpack too much, just stayed in the first room until changing on Friday. It was chilly and windy, and we heard the weather had not been so great the last few days. It was raining when we arrived at the airport, and when we got out to the sexy pool at around 5pm, no one was in the pool, we just met a few people at the bar. I was literally astounded that I was cold, so I totally take back everything I said before about not needing a sweater or jacket. During our other three visits, there was NO need for any warmer clothes, quite the contrary (even last January), but I stand corrected as the wind had a bite to it and I’m glad I had my sweatshirt with me. We grabbed a few pizzas at Margaritas for dinner and hung out in the room before the Casino Night party at 9:30. First night was Lingerie night and this is what I wore: We met several forum people in Nice Shoes, and enjoyed talking to everyone while Michael played cards. I ended up being one of the finalists to parade across the stage, but am fully supportive of the woman who won because she was having a great time and did some awesome moves on the pole! We hung out at Paty O’s afterwards and had a wonderful time – was so much fun! Out on the beach beds later that night, it was very windy, but still warmer than Seattle so we had some alone time outside before heading back to the room to change into warmer clothes (I know, I’m shocked still about that!) We went back out to Paty O’s for hamburgers around 2am and Michael joked around that I had a “David Hasselhoff burger video moment” at the bar. In my defense, I only slept between about 12-1am before we got ready to leave for the airport for our VERY early flight, couldn’t sleep on the plane and did not take a nap – then drank a metric ass ton of margaritas, so yeah … more about the margaritas later. Day two began with Michael negotiating for a Temptation Suite or Jacuzzi Room. Some of you reading this will not believe it – but we WAIT FOR IT … -- UPGRADED TO DROPS OF LOVE -- <GASP> :blueshock: old-school people on the forum will get that joke :aktion061: When we checked in, Michael negotiated a price for Drops of Love that was only $30 more per night than simply upgrading to a Jacuzzi Room. We figured out what we did wrong on our first trip and why we felt so ripped off then, and got a great price from them on the upgrade because we explained what happened to us the first time. We paid for a Temptation Suite for our first trip outright at the time of booking, and then on top of that we paid for Drops of Love. We were newbies and didn’t know how financially stupid that was to do, and the resort DID NOT tell us that if we would have booked the cheapest room, then paid for Drops of Love, we could have gotten the room upgrade as part of the package – they were completely happy to make us pay for the suite AND for Drops of Love. :ranting1: That was complete bullshit, but it all worked out this time because we got a great deal and the staff treated us like royalty the entire week. :icon_biggrin: So, bottom line – if you want Drops of Love, DO NOT book an upgraded room!! Book the cheapest room, then contact the resort to order Drops of Love separately (waiting until you show up is risky if they don’t have the rooms available, if you book and pay for it ahead of time they will upgrade your reservation). THEN, it makes a ton of sense to do that. So, we tried to get a suite, but the only one they had available was on the third floor at the furthest corner of the resort. The other two suites we had in Oct. and Jan. had balconies, but this one did not, and it was not very big. We did not want to walk 20 minutes and up three flights of stairs every time we went back to the room, so we said we would take a Jacuzzi Room instead. To our surprise, we got the same room we had in April – 1110 – kind of a weird and cool karma thing! This is the view from our room: We had intended to go out to Paty O’s at 9:30am that morning to say hi to Steve, Jannet, and Chinos before the Friday Boobs Cruise (we were booked for the one on the 28th), but because I was so freaking ripped the night before and up until about 4am, and literally awake for two days prior, I slept through my alarm and did not wake up until after 12pm!! Then we got all the room change worked out, and finally got out to the pool later in the afternoon. It was windy and kind of cold at the pool, and I was disappointed because I was aching for warm sun – but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. Friday night was white/glow night, and after we had dinner at the Italian Restaurant we got ready for the festivities. It was a fun night at Paty O’s, and we met some very cool people. One of our BFFs through the trip was Dorrian on the forum (Una and Mike) – We had a Jacuzzi party on our patio after Paty O’s closed, and I can remember about half of that night – lol! I was pounding the margaritas again, and had an epiphany the next day that maybe I should stay away from the tequila!!:brick: Day 3 we slept until noon again – shocking – but we are from two hours earlier. We went out to the pool to greet the large group of forum friends who we hung with last year in January. We had an awesome reunion as they started showing up gradually over the afternoon, and just hung out at the pool with them. I was so hung over that I was sticking to ice water – and NO MORE MARGARITAS!! We went to dinner at Margaritas and then came out to the pool party and bead night. Much of the forum group women were also wearing red dresses, but I didn’t have one so I wore an orange dress. It was still chilly and I actually wore a sweater at first. I drank my own raspberry vodka I brought from the duty free store with powdered sugar free lemonade I brought from home. Did not get wasted, and I remember everything that night – hmmmm! Sunday was a much nicer day, and we were up early and actually made it to breakfast by 9:30am – I’m convinced at this point that I am allergic to the tequila or something, so I didn’t have a margarita the entire rest of the trip – and I did not have any more David Hasselhoff burger video moments either! We hung at the pool all day. Michael does not like the warm sun as much as I do, and he took a couple naps. I couldn’t fathom wasting one minute of warm sun so I was outside pretty much all day and loved it! We played a shot roulette game that Chris and Tammy brought at the sexy pool, and that was lots of fun. We had kind of a split dinner with reservations at both the Asian and Italian restaurants. I don't like anything on the menu at the Asian place, but Michael really does. They gave us some grief when I was making the reservations, but I got it handled and it worked out fine. At the Italian place, order the Sexy Coffee, they make it at the table and light it on fire - very cool! Sunday night was men’s dress shirt night and glow night, and that was a great theme! We all met up in Paty O’s and I would say at least half the women there were Cancuncare forum members wearing a men’s dress shirt – it was awesome!! We all promised we would go to bed early because of the Boobs Cruise the next day – but that didn’t happen! LOL! Leave it to Michael to get pictures of the boobies all night! :ladiesman1: And this is what happens when you lose at bet at TTR: When I was telling that guy about Cancuncare (he wondered why we were wearing the shirts), he said I must be the administrator of the forum because I was promoting it so heavily - lol! I said he could meet Steve the next morning when we were checking in for the Boobs Cruise. Monday the 28th was the Boobs Cruise and it was SO great to see Steve and Jannet again at the check in, and Chinos and Omar on the boat!! Sean came dressed to the nines in his tuxedo for his 6th boobs cruise, and last one this trip: This cruise was a bit more tame that the last one we were on in April (which was INSANE!), but still lots of fun. There was a large group from a different resort who needed to chill out and understand what the TTR people are all about, and most of them came around by the end of the day. And, of course, Sean stripped off the Tuxedo after about 30 minutes :icon_wink: And Sean had another fun outfit for later The Boobs Cruise is a "can't miss" event for anyone going to TTR - and we had a terrific time! I have pictures that I can't post that would prove it, but it would be better to experience it for yourself!! We partied in the sexy pool until dark when we got back, and met even more great people from the forum who had arrived while we were on the cruise. We didn’t have a theme that night for the forum, but had a great time dancing until way too late! Tuesday was another hang at the pool day and soak up the sun. We took this picture at the pool for Tiogamike (Mike and D) - they were missing this year from our January group last year and we just wanted to let them know how much we noticed their absence Michael and I had scheduled our couples massage later in the afternoon and that was very nice – then we hung out in the Jacuzzi completely alone for about an hour, and we may have broken a few of the resort rules – but it was romantic and lots of fun for us. Tuesday night was school girl/kilt night and it was a wild takeover of Paty O’s by Cancuncare people! By far the biggest shocker of that night was Ed (EdandSarah) dressed only in an apron for kilt night, with his bare ass showing! Chris (ChrisandTammy) wore a priest shirt and we had lots of fun with that as well. That night was much warmer, finally, and we all decided to go skinny dipping in the sports pool. After jumping in, we found it was way too cold so we all went to the sexy pool (there was about 20 of us), and we were promptly kicked out of there – lol! Then we tried to go in the water at the beach and they were telling us we had to get out – booo!! We went back to the sport pool, and some got in – I think we went to sleep around 4am again that night!! Wednesday was our last full day, so hard to believe! Michael was exhausted and I was hit hard by a head cold. We slept in a bit, but I really wanted to get out to the pool. Our romantic patio dinner and rose petal aromatherapy bath was scheduled to begin at 4pm so pool time was limited. We were going to go shopping , but decided we needed to sleep and chill, and I am glad we did! The day went from clear, to overcast, to clear - windy then not windy - was kind of weird. But I did get a nice beach picture Here is a picture of a bunch of forum guys in a line by the jetted pools of the sexy pool - their better halves were either laying in the sun or sleeping in the room by then We decided to go out on a wave runner while they were setting up our room for the bath. It was windy earlier and that had died down, so it was perfect timing. We paid $45 for 40 minutes, but they let us stay out there over an hour – and it was so much fun. When we came in it started to rain a little, and then we saw the most amazing rainbow! Everyone was taking pictures of it, even people who worked there.:umbrella1: Our private patio bath party will stay private – and we put the screen down! All I can say is that we celebrated our 6th anniversary in ways we will remember forever! The dinner in our room was delicious, and the dessert was to die for. I wish they had those desserts in the restaurants! We had cut up strawberries with fudge and a tropical fruit pudding with fudge – wow! Michael had lobster and I had steak, and our waitress was awesome. The last night was sheer night and I can’t post most of the pictures we took since all the women were SO hot, but VERY sheer!! Once again, at least half the bar was taken over by Cancuncare people and the dancing and partying was so much fun! Honestly, though, we were laughing after several nights of the same 30 minute 80s playlist – seriously! We really like Mony Mony, Come on Eileen, You Shook Me All Night, Living on a Prayer, Old Time Rock n Roll, and Sweet Child of Mine – but there are a lot of other 80s songs that I would be happy to give them copies of to mix it up a bit!! I thought about it and this is the playlist I would have used: Take on Me Rock Lobster White Wedding Paradise City We Got the Beat Sex (Berlin) Blue Monday Pour Some Sugar on Me Let’s Go Cum on Feel The Noise Space Age Love Song Relax (Don’t Do It) Safety Dance I Wanna Be Sedated Modern Love Holy Diver Dancing with Myself Rock of Ages Mental Health Thursday we woke up to cloudy skies and wind so we slept in. Our flight left at 4pm and we were supposed to get picked up at 1pm so we had some time to chill, but I was bummed it wouldn’t be at the pool since it started raining by 11am. If you have to go home to cold and dreary weather, it is a lot easier to leave Temptations in the rain than when it is sunny and warm and everyone is in the pool!! Here are some things I want to add that I think people should know: Bug bites: every trip I ended up getting bitten on my ankles mostly, and that was after walking on the sand. This trip I had used bug spray on my ankles and didn’t walk on the sand much at all and everything seemed fine, until … the last night we went out by the Asian Restaurant to sit on the beach bed and talk. After about 20 minutes or so I told Michael I was itchy and wanted to go back to the room. About an hour later I had 20+ welts on my left upper thigh and ass cheek – dafuq!!! If bugs love you, they will find you – use bug spray even on your ass!! This picture is us on the beach chair before I knew I was getting bitten so badly Wet suitcase: It was raining when we left, and when we got to Phoenix for our connecting flight and picked up our bags before customs, I found everything was damp in our suitcases when I was packing up our duty free purchases. I am guessing they left the bags in the rain outside the plane on the cart before loading them into the plane. When we got home I had to immediately take everything out, even though it was after midnight and we were exhausted from 12 hours of traveling time. If this is a problem for you and your stuff, a hard-sided suitcase might be better to use. Bringing your own pillow: the pillows there are very hard so we bring our own. I forgot about our last trip and the musty smell issues with down pillows in such a humid place. If you are bringing your own pillows, don’t bring down pillows, it smells weird after a few days, just like a wet down pillow! I will bring a soft down alternative next time! We met SO MANY people I cannot begin to mention all of them – everyone tells you their name, but without nametags and lots of alcohol, and SO MANY new friends, sometimes you forget names but know the faces – so I don’t want to leave anyone out. But I loved having people come up to me multiple times every night asking, “hey, are you Sultryfox?” – it was really cool that so many people knew me and that we had such a large group of friends to hang out with. I loved that! I also loved having a great time with my husband and celebrating our anniversary – we had the perfect mix of alone time and friends/partying time – it was awesome!! On the first leg of our flight home, the strangest woman sat next to me. I have flown many times and have never seen such weird/odd behavior - she was turned away from me with her legs in the aisle, so much so that she kept tripping people who didn't realize she was sitting like that. She also asked the woman sitting on the other side of our row to move over to the empty window seat after she coughed once. She was a freak! And this trip report would be incomplete without a huge thank you to the 2am Paty O’s cheeseburgers! We all loved you so very much every night!!!! :cheerleaders:
Wow awesome report - thanks for taking the time to add the photos. Too bad the weather was a bit chilly. Hoping June will not be like this.
Great report!! Loved the pictures to go along with the story. We have been in February and have experienced the cool weather, but you make the best of it. Still warmer than home.
It was awesome hanging out with you guys! Thanks for strutting your stuff with me on stage in our Lingerie Can't wait until our next trip and maybe we will get to party with you again. That lady on the plane was definitely odd
Awesome trip report! Especially the Hasselhoff cheeseburger comments. Who doesn't love a good burger when you're shit hammered?
Great TR SultryFox, good stuff! It's fun mixing in the pics, isn't it. Sort of tells the story for you. I'm still trying to come up with a way to link offsite to the ... other ... pics, so people can really get the feel and understand, sorta...
Loved the report. Thanks. I wish we took the time to document our trip w pics. Great idea. Stinks that they still have that same rotation of songs. Was hoping for more of a 2012 club mix by now or maybe even 2010. Guess we have to get used to the 80s mixed in an attempt to make them seem new. I wish they would play present music or leave the 80s songs the way they originally were. One question, so you mind if I ask the cost of a nightly upgrade for jacuzzi that they offered onsite? Thanks
