Kinda, some meals and some top shelf alcohol is "free" to Premier Members, but if you want to pay a supplement you can have it too. But don't sweat it, there is plenty of good stuff without having to pay extra! :daisy:
You have to pay extra for lobster at every all inclusive I've ever been to. Yup paid $30 and it was worth way more for the amount we got. We live in landlocked Alberta so fresh seafood here is really expensive.
I don't persohnally do the seafood, so we miss out on the lobster for Stacia unless she specifically remembers to set it up for dinner of an evening. We thought he food last year was the best we'd had at TTR, it seemed to be better each time we went, from Feb. through Oct.
Next time you are in Minneapolis - head to a Asian market/BBQ joint and get a Chinese Roast Duck. They will allow you to order a half - Usually about $7 for a half duck. At a Restaurant its usually $22 for a whole duck. Shuang Hur BBQ Deli or Hong Kong Noodles or Pagoda. While your at it, get yourself a 1/2lb of BBQ Pork, 1/2 pound of roast pork and have a meat fest - Chinese style. Buffet Food is a solid 2.5 stars but does grow repetitive after a week. We found Margarita's for lunch to be the lowest quality food at TTR and preferred the buffet. The Mexican Hot Wings they had at Margaritas and Guacamole were the best of the lot. The reservation restaurants & Il Picare were all very good - solid 3* food. Try the Grouper if you like fish, excellent!
I don't know why but I've really been looking forward to the food... But it's probably more because I won't have to cook or clean dishes for a week.
