BOOKED: March 11-18th !! Grand Oasis Cancun...TIPS PLEASE!

Hey all,

Just wondering who all is going around that time as well as:

- Where are the "best" rooms at the grand oasis?
- any suggestions and what to do where to start?
- March 13th is my BDAY, wheres the best place to celebrate?
- there are group of 15 of us going, mostly guys, any groups of Girls going that wanna meet up and party?

New to the forum not new to cancun but have never stayed at an Oasis hotel before.

Grand Oasis is a good hotel. Just all men.

Advice to people booking Cancun - do some lateral thinking. Dont think that the best party hotel is the best place to stay. In my experience Krystal and Oasis are a laugh in the day time, but a nightmare to stay at.

Your booking is a prime example. 15 people mostly guys.

The best hotel ive stayed at for a mix of people was the Gran Caribe. Good party in the day, great girl/guy ratio and a good bar.

Most lads think "Busiest is best". Most girls dont think that, so youll find yourself surrounded by chaps.

Its still gonna be brilliant for you, and I hope you enjoy it. But this year I ducked out of Cancun and am going somewhere else for SB. Last year it was just like being on stag party. Theres too many blokes. Painful ratios of 40/50 to 1 in the clubs make it a testosterone charged atmosphere.

As Ive said in other threads - get to know your hotel guests, the groups of girls etc, as the chances of you pulling etc in the clubs is seriously diminished nowadays. The demographic of your own group is a perfect example really. 15 people, im guessing 11 or 12 guys? Thats Cancun in a nutshell during SB.

Very true except last year actually had the best ratio since 2007 (not sure about before that).

 

I dunno man, the week I went it was off the scale bad.

Maybe it was just certain nights or I noticed it more.

We had girls with us each night from our hotel and a couple of girls I know from Canada fly in to see us and in the Bulldog and the City it was insanity, pure insanity. It took forever to get out and guys would be groping the girls I was with right in front of me, trying to drag them away and all sorts.

I think this year will be a british invasion. I know loads of brits going, and these boards are now mainly UK

 

I remember that's what it was like 2 years ago when the ratio was 10-1 (worst ever). Guys were literally trying to grab girls like cavemen.

 

That year is the reason for my hesitance in booking. Still a great trip, just a sea of men.

 

The only way to get more women there is to give away free coach bags.

 

You should go to Canal street buy a bunch of fakes to bring to Cancun then have contests on the beach.

Just out of curiosity, are there any groups of women going?
We are a group of guys from Canada, looking to party and have fun, anything else is bonus.
