just curious about a few things. I know time at TTR is at a premium in March, but with the possibility of being able to add an extra day for a total of $476.46(air and hotel)extra, would you book 1 extra night? Then the question is, is it just easier to book 1 night on it's own rather than try to rework our current reservations and just head back down to recheck-in a day later?

Need some help from the season vets on this one. 2 days wouldn't be worth the extra charges because of how much more the flights and hotel are per night, and one day at the beginning of the vacation puts us in a comfort zone with work, kids, and cash. One day is better than none but is it worth the trouble and what is the best course of action?

I can tell you that 2 years ago we had a couple book an extra day and change their flights and they said it cost them about $500.

Figure out what your daily cost average is before adding a day and then again with your new $ addition and see if you think it's worth it.

Another day in Mexico is better that most any day in Minnesota!

In October 2011 we had added a couple of days and had 2 seperate reservations. At check-in they combined the 2 and we had no issues and did not have to re-check in. That may be your best option, as for the airfare, most airlines have a modest fee to change your itinerary as long as the new flight is at or around the same fee as the original. Hope that helps, Go for it, my wife always tells me longer is better!!! :icon_rolleyes:

This time staying an extra day saved us money. The savings flying home on Monday vs. Sunday were greater then an extra night. Bonus!

Last year we got 10 nights for the price of a 7 day packaged charter by playing around with the flight dates.

Use the ''Build your own package'' they have on most Travel sites

We have 2 reservations also for April 1 reg. week and 1 referral week that would be great if they combined the two so we don't have to do the re-check in.
And I do agree with your wife...LOL

I just checked that out on Expedia, playing around with a few dates. Quite a savings! Thanks for the tip.
Were you able to get a direct flight?

Lat year we had two free nights when they tried ot bump us in September and our regular trip. We did have to go back downstairs and check in again, but we made it real clear to them on check in that we will not be changing rooms. It all worked out.
