In that case you're right, probably doesn't work out but you're getting hosed on the flight. No way should a flight out of Calgary or Edmonton run you more than about 900 each. Also the 140, should apply for a couple not per person, so cut that price in half for one week. Then the numbers get much closer to eachother.
The standard referral week, as I understand it is in a garden view room, but with all of the premier benefits. The rate is 75% of what the listed rate at the hotel is, this changes seasonally, so June is likely cheaper than February etc.
I'm also looking into this rental. Can I find a better deal?? Sounds like with all the AI fees I would be paying much more? I have found my best price from Expedia. Flight and hotel for 9 nights $2,350 total cost for 2
This makes much more sense. Wesjet flights show about 2,650.04 total for 2 people, direct both ways. Aircanada flights suck ass, with no direct flights to cancun, I dont mind transfering in calgary. Airtransat 1,522.22 (this is way better than westjet but their dates suck) its all good I guess if you shop around.
We r going April 1st with a members package. Pretty much getting it free from the member, Now the resort is charging like $105 a night per person and I don't have to sit in on a time share and I get a white bracelet with all binifits of a premiere member. I could book at bookit and places like that for about the same price but no perks. After I come back I will let everyone know how it goes.
Exactly....Like I said if you can use air miles it works the best. We are going in Feb which is the highest AI rate with the exception of Christmas/New Years. Our trip is free like I explained. We use our points for the flight & pay only the tax on the flight which is $52 per person for a total of $104. Friends are using one of our referral weeks. They pay the AI fee which is $243 per night per couple for a total of $1700 for 7 nights. Remember this is peak season. Other months are cheaper. They get the gold bracelet & all the perks. They are using air miles for the flight. They checked packages for the same date & the best they found was $2850 which included flight & hotel. Since flights for them seperately were around $500 a piece, the price would have been about the same. What you gain are the perks which seem to be increasing every year. We didn't buy this membership to sell weeks, I don't see a big advantage for us to do that.We bought in 10 years ago & it's been a roller coaster ride dealing with RCI & Premier. When we first bought it was a great money saver. Then things went sour for a while & that is when you heard all the horror stories about being a member. Fortunely we stuck it out & are reaping the rewards again. We have long surpassed the break even point & like I said this trip will cost us $104 as the last 3 have. The next 5 the same. Now this has not come without a lot of frustration & discussions (sometimes heated) with my wife & RCI & Premier. So I am not telling you to run out & buy a membership. What I am saying is if you have questions or think you might be interested go to the meeting. You can always walk out. If you aren't interested & think it is a waste our your vacation time then don't go. I know one thing, with my job & coaching that I do I can find a million reasons why I don't have time for vacation. This membership gets us to TTR every year & I am thankful for that. OK enough rambling :aktion025::aktion025::aktion025:
