Think I read that the safes are outdated and that you have to carry around a key if you use it. Is this true? Also read that if you book the basic room - you will probably get stuck with 2 double beds and if you request a king....they will charge for the "upgrade." Any truth to this??? Thanks so much. Still weighing out if we are booking here for our annivesary trip but for the price- sounds like we will have a fabulous time
I don't use the safes because I don't trust them.... but a travelmate of mine always used them and never had an issue. You do have to carry the key. or hide it somewhere. Most suitcases have locks, I just lock my stuff up and hide it. As far as the basic room.... do you mean the lagoon view? or ocean view? I believe they are both the same..... both have doubles or king, just depends on availability, but oceanview is more because .... well its ocean view, hehe. I have never had a problem being charged more. I know in Atlantic City one time we requested a king and got two double beds. My excuse was we completely destroy and mess up one and sleep in the other. lol. No worries about sleeping in wet, dirty, sweaty, chocolate/whip cream full sheets. lol
Last time we were there we stayed in a lagoon view the first night with 2 double beds. ... didnt really matter since we over did it and didnt remember much that night!! for the rest of the time we did pay to upgrade to an ocean view jacuzzi suite with king bed and was totally worth it.
i prefer a king to, but i do think even the double beds are queen size....so you can just switch every night
