Our routine is to say No politely and the second we check in to our room we unplug the phone..easy as 1,2,3
3 visits and never had an issue with them bugging us more than one time - they did take no for an answer. The first visit they asked us to come to breakfast at 8am, and I think my husband said something like 'are you fucking out of your mind? I am not going anywhere at 8am on my vacation' - oddly that was the last time they asked us that trip - lol!!! We just said no thanks the other trips and that was it.
This is pretty much what I was getting at when I posted. I know they word things a little differently then just saying "do you want a time share tour?" I guess I was looking for any advice on what tactics they are using to prevent ourselves from even having to face them. I was thinking last year after we checked in they tried to send us over to them before they gave us our room keys or something like that. We had to insist we wanted our keys right away and they finally gave in and gave it to us. Fortunately we forsaw this and just wanted to know if they had changed tactics.
Last time we did the presentation, they told us that they are not aloud to solicit you again.. all you have to say is .. We have done the presentation before. but if you bought a deal that includes a time share presentation then .. yes.. they call you every morning and hang notes on your door and show up knocking at your door.. hahah!! but for newbies, just say no thank you .. we are not interested! they are just tryign to do there job as well.. so be polite about it..
Last year they followed me through PatyO almost to the sexy pool. I just repeatedly said no and kept walking. I also unplugged the phone but noticed that the maid plugged it back in a few times. So don't forget to check it before bed.
We just politely say no when asked... If they are persistent and keep going at it we tell have a nice day and walk away.... if they still persist a well put "FU** OFF" normally does the trick as a last resort... The worst experience we had with a Time Share presentation for Disney World they literally locked the doors and would not let us go; I literally had to make a scandal so they would let us out...
After you hit the Button at the airport, and it goes green,, don't stop for anyone inside (unless they have a gun, lol) until you are outside, then look for your transportation. The airport timeshare sellers are worse then the hotel ones. They will lie to you saying they are with you transport. They look at the tags on your luggage.
You know, I've seen this stated several times over the years, but I would have to say that we never once had an issue with them bothering us in the airport. Hopefully that will stay true!
