I've never had a problem with the hair dryers they provide. Each to their own, it might be better to bring one with you rather than find out when you get there the hotel's one doesn't suit you. Not many outlets in the room, so if you have space for it bring an extension.
This misses straighters took ages to get hot apparently because uk are 240 and we didn't bring a converter which was annoy for her not for me it charged my phone and that all I needed lol she said the hair dryer was abit shit but did the job her words lol :uk1:
You need straighteners that have 'dual voltage' to work. I was furious our first trip as although mine said dual voltage, they clearly did not work. Our next trip I bought a new pair of GHDs that are dual, and they worked perfectly.
240/120 power convertors will not work for hair dryers or curling irons,, they are intended for razors, battery chargers, lap tops at the most.
