I've been checking out other groups theme nights and there is talk on the April Addicts that TTR now does a red dress night, I believe on Saturdays. Just something to keep in mind.
I vote we do NFD night on Weds the 12th or possibly the 16th depending on if we leave that day. It's the only available night that we'll be there with T&T. ~Nat
I think if we stick to a similar schedule as last year it would be best. Out of all the times we've been there, I've never seen a group of people that made a place more wild, crazy, fun, and theme nights more supported then the June Junkies last year. We've also seen more then a few theme nights not supported very well through the years. There's always a few that get more excited over various themes then others and will support each night no matter what, but it can also be a "Debbie Downer" when you spend all that time getting excited about a theme, spend extra time getting dressed up for it, and show up at PattyO's and there are only 2 or 3 others in that theme, and next thing you know you're headed back to your room to change. IMO the no brainers are WHITE NIGHT, lingerie NIGHT, SEXY SCHOOL GIRL NIGHT, GLOW NIGHT, SEXY BLACK DRESS NIGHT, SEXY RED DRESS NIGHT. It looks as if there's going to be a lot of different dates this year for June Junkies. Last year, Mardi Gras and Uniform night were kind of a bust. The ones I mentioned above give you 6 already, so we really need to come to some kind of consensus as to what perhaps one or 2 more should be. Majority come for 7-10 days, so any more then that and again there may only be a few couples supporting it. It will be very hard to top the atmosphere of last year, but there's only one way to do that. We have to start becoming active now, and building up the enthusiasm we did like last year leading up to it. I know the 50/50 raffle for tipping the staff was a HUGE HIT with resort and comments went all the way to the top of the resort as to how much the resort staff and bartenders were appreciative of our group, so think that's a must again, plus someone from the June Junkies went away each day with extra cash as well. Okay, just my 2 cents. I've had an extremely busy year thus far, and apologize again for not being able to be active, but need to get my priorities straight for the June Junkies...LOL from here on out! Ed, I have to agree with you. We had a huge amount of participation on most nights. I think if the vocal minority go ahead and take the reins, we can get the themes established and the dates locked-in. That way planning can begin and purchases can be made early and not at the last minute. Thomas
My two cents on themes is adding Leather and Lace or S & M night in correlation with the TTR revelation night. I enjoyed bringing out the crop and floggers and I think others enjoyed it as well. I am a theme girl and love getting dressed for it all, but like Ed said above its a bit disheartening when you go all out an there is only 1 other person in theme wear.
