Be careful with travel republic. There reputation is not that great. Read the comments on there FB page. http://www.facebook.com/travelrepublic
Yeah. It looks like they have about a 75% success rate based on those Facebook posts. I wouldn't want to be one of the 25% that show up and the hotel says not paid or that gets overcharged. I didn't see any examples of people saying they went to TTR and had an issue so hopefully everyone on here who booked w tr has success.
Was just going to book on travel republic. Read their Facebook page, looks like I will pay the little extra and do alpharooms again. Thanks for the heads up ;; update;; Just checked and for my dates of 5/11-5/19 only $122 difference and $10 deposit due 4 weeks out.
Sunwing deal for Canadians Hey everyone. Just got an email from Sunwing. They are running their Tax Buster sale. You save $200 per couple on taxes if you book before January 18th. They ran this deal at the same time last year, and extended it a further week. That's when I booked for April, and prices went up after the first week of February and stayed up. So if any of you have been watching Sunwing packages, now would be the time to strike. Tho I seem to remember that booking solo I save $200 in tax last year. Hmmm....
I am 0 for 2 with Sunwing. Once to Cuba, once to Jamaica. Worst experiences of any vacation I've ever been on. I'm not willing to risk it again. Also worth checking out: Sunwing vacation includes sleepless night - British Columbia - CBC News
I feel your pain. My first trip with Sunwing was terrible. So bad I almost wrote them a letter. I subsequently found a huge deal on a Sunwing trip, so thought I would give them a second chance. Everything went perfectly. Same with the 3rd trip. I know others who have travelled several times successfully with Sunwing as well (Craig - Captain Blue Eyes) being one of them. Perhaps Sunwing is hit and miss (aren't all tour providers?), but myself and my friends have had more "hits" than "misses". I trust Westjet more, but I don't hesitate to book Sunwing if the price is right.
Yes they are and we have to take care or out hard earned money and gamble. Hard to gage by the internet cause people will right bad reviews but thousands of satisfied customers won't .
Has anybody incurred a $65 credit card processing fee when using Alpharooms? We found on their site that there is a small fee depending on the type of card you used but not any that would add up to $65
There is some talk about it here http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...5570-alpharooms-still-ok-deal.html#post520029
They are the only ones that have posted anything about a processing fee. At least that I've come across. I don't recall anything like that when we booked last year. It isn't a deal breaker by any means. We used them last year and we'll most likely use them again this year.
