Our other holidays are pretty spontaneous and are usually mini-breaks (4 days or less) as we spend the rest of the year saving up to go back to TTR! If we do get away, it's usually to UK cities to check out the sights, bars etc. We like London and Edinburgh in particular. We go away to relax, have a drink and party!
Sounds fantastic. New Orleans is on our list of places to visit, so in a few years when one of our savings is maturing we may join you!
Let's see, in the past few years, as Travel is Stacia's thing, and me getting her undressed is mine, we've been to: St. Thomas, St. Martin one trip, went to Orient Beach (nude beach) on St. Martin, just wish the weather had been better. We went to Maui, and to Little Beach (nude beach) there too, fun time can be had on Front Street, but it's just drunkenness, not TTR-ish. Fun, though. We've hung out at/in Playa del Carmen, we stay at The Royal mostly, great location, right out the front door you get to 5th street. Been to Key West as well, that was fun, VERY HEAVY DRINKING trip, so be prepared for tha on Duval. But, mostly, we've decided that TTR is the mainstay of the fun times!
Not sure about where else Brits go, but Vegas, Nawlins, and Key West are our favorites. Cabo is not bad either!!
I have friends that went last fall and had such an awesome time & I have to experience it at least once! Was told it can be quite affordable depending on where you stay & if your sharing a bungalow style place. The music, the parties, the beaches bring it on!
We have done Vegas and don't care if I ever go back, to expensive and not the same atmosphere as TTR. New Orleans is a blast and yes you better have your drinking shoes on for sure ( went three times for nye). We love Key West and would love to do fantsy fest.. Been to the Bamaha a couple of times and its fun also. If we want a quite vacation we go to Gulf Shore Alabama for fishing and sun. I guess its hard to go anywhere else outher than TTR for us. May 2013 will be our 14th trip. Desire is on the bucket list.
may I add? pretentious this is the most pretentious place I have ever been and like you would rather spend a weekend at a holiday inn in lansing during the middle of January with in laws and ex's. would never go back to that @#$% hole but that just me rob rob
Let me guess put it all on black and came up red? But I agree I'd rather be in Cancun, cheaper and more fun. Also ocean!
we used to like Vegas a lot...but it's become a pozer paradise more than an actual place to party and have fun in our opinions...we'll still go for football in the sports books..... but otherwise it's over priced and honestly everything fun in Vegas we can get in Atlanta without the preteniousness.
