Trip Report - New Years (Dec28-Jan02)

Hey guys Thanks for the trip report I'm glad you had a great time. I have to agree with Karen regarding going in April, great bunch of people.
As far as creepy people... that is the reason I will never take a cruise, my fear of being on a ship and not being able to get away from those people that just can't get the hint. :icon_eek:
As far as the pool being heated... well I know it is and I know where the warm water comes in.. but I'm not telling otherwise I won't get that spot again...LOL When you find the spot at first you think your standing by or walking through someone thats peeing in the water...LOL
All in all I'm really glad you had fun and now realize that really the reason most of us go is because of the people. This site has brought many of us together and in our case we've picked different times because of our interest in people from this site. When we started going it was Dec. Jan. and Feb, but now we've been April and Oct.
Hope our paths cross one day, we appreciate honest people.

solar heating think your right AS THE SUN HITS THE WATER THE HEAT IS ON, CLOUDY HEAT IS OFF!!!!!

 

3* resort is completely fair. The food is ok but far from high end. The rooms are fine, but nothing fancy. Its totally possible that your room might stink or something in it will be broken. If you are shooting for a 5* experience, TTR isn't the right place for you.

Personally, I love the broken down, stinky place with lots of meh food. Once you go, you'll realize that it isn't about any of that shit. It's about the people.

We don't go to Mexico to eat We go to party and meet good people. In the 20 or so trips to both temptations , only once or twice that hasn't happened

 

We was there the last week in nov and the pool was freezing the whole week heard several people complain about it but got a bunch of different excuses of why it wasn't working I. Say there was no more than a hand full of people in it at any time of the day but the last week of nov and first of dec is the weeks the caos crew is there and I can guarantee there was a lot of participation on theme nights then

 

As Karen and others said the beach at TTR is not the major attraction. We take out the windsurfers and hobies, in the morning, relax on the beach for a while and spend most time around the sexy pool. Then we go down to Tulum area for 4-5 days- miles and miles of gorgeous beach, waves, and very few people- we get the TTR fun, and good relaxing beach time to really kick back.

 

We were there this week (12/30 - 1/8). We spent most days in the sexy pool and thought the water temp was ok on all but 2 days. Also more people joined in on the theme night for the lingerie/casino night but most nights the participation was very low.
