How much alcohol is in those things anyways? Enough to justify the cost over regular whip cream? Anybody even get a biz from those shots?
Never had any until our last trip - Stick with Strawberry & plain Vanilla. Chocolate was pretty gross. Canned whip cream from the grocery store that is real dairy is far superior in flavor & consistency than this stuff. They don't sell it in California, think of the children. Alcohol whip is really thick & dense - the regular dairy whipped cream is much lighter & fluffier. By volume - I think you'd have to down 2-cans to get drunk. Its a novelty item.
we just tried the strawberry and raspberry, the strawberry rocks! the chocolate and mint together is yummy also a peppermint patty.
Here in central Illinois we have quite a Few places that sell it. About 12 different favors and run $7-10 a can. I too will bring along a few cans in April.
Bring the chocolate flavour for me, Carol...it takes the most licking to get off! (oops...that didn't come out right...but I think I'll leave it just as it is anyway :aetsch011
So has anybody ever declared that they were bringing in more than the duty-free limit of alcohol? I'd far rather pay the 17% tax or whatever it is than face any hassle if I got caught with more than I was supposed to have, but I was just wondering how much time it takes dealing with customs if you do declare something that you need to pay import taxes on. We've got all these helpless Canadian friends from last year that all want me to bring 'em a couple cans. I'm more than happy to, 'cause they all like to share. :headbanger: I think the duty-free limit is 2 liters per person, so you can blow past that pretty fast when you're trying to stock for several people.
