While their posts are always witty and entertaining it is what it is , a one time experience there. Hard to comment on the people that are there at anytime as we all know that can change weekly if not daily. All it takes is a group of people to show up and the open sexual play would be way higher. I'll take what he says on the food and other things more to heart.

That being said , the wife wants to go badly , I'm like the poster not sure I would go naked but not as afraid of the naked guys as he was. Lol. It's really hard to justify the money to go but I'm sure like usual the wifey will get her way and we will be trying it one day.

 

We're definitely looking forward to our trip in May. As with most, the biggest drawback in deciding was the $$, but as the hubby said "we only live once & can't take it with us!"

We have limited vacation time, so we want to make sure if we're using a whole week of it for an adult get away that the experience is of a top quality nature. The sensual adult fun sounds perfect....I have middle schoolers at home, don't need middle school antics on my adult vacation. Definitely not saying we won't return to TTR...we loved our stay there, and the price difference is a factor for sure but I deer us doing more of the "quick trip" there for a dose of drinking/dancing fun. I'm hoping the trip to Desire will be the total package......one of those trips where the hubby and I leave feeling more in love than we ever thought we could be with memories of fun, friends, and adventure to boot.

The best thing will be spending time with some great people...some whom we already know we enjoy spending time with and others I'm sure we'll enjoy meeting once we get there. Hope to see some of you there (B&B)!!!!

 

When Stacia & I went to Desire in April with our friends Tom & Deborah, with Luis, the Sales Manager who had jsut sold both couples our memberships, as we went in the front door, we saw a sign outside posting their daily rates. Note: It wasn't a temporary, easily-changeable sign either. Basic room rates started at $515 per, I think, according to that sign. Of course, they give various discounts and such, but it's just plain pricey and they can keep it that way because of demand, I think.

 

correct you are on the one time experience I think I probably mentioned in there it was our first time and that I was definitely aware that other times could be more "swingerfied" or even sexually oriented than others.......

after much thought and research we planned our trip fully aware that we would not see as much of that as we would have had we went on "orgy week" or "sausage in the oven week".

anyone planning a trip to any location on the planet would certainly have enough common sense to figure that much out ...and plan accordingly

I mean not trying to be insensitive here but im probably not planning the family trip to Disney world on gay week nor would I plan the make a wish fun raiser in new Orleans on super bowl weekend either...

yes it is a little bit more expensive and certainly understand reservations of some as Temptation is still a nice option too - really boils down to what one is willing to spend their money and their perception of value...

perhaps most important for me and t at our age................the last time we checked in with mohammed, jc and buddah ---- we got clued in yet again......... even though they have done some rennovation work here and there................they are still not accepting personal checks, credit cards or benjamins.

Very true but I wasn't meaning a group take over , a group of friends of 4 or 8 can change the resort drastically as well. Hard to plan or research for that unless you know every person that is going. Anyway , like I said. Nice report and will be checking it out one day I'm sure.

Is Desire in cabo same price ? And is the resort in mr nicer then the one in cabo. I know you have to cabo before I would prefer to go to the one in cabo, mostly for the consistent weather

Jo and I have been to TTR twice now and the last time we found there were way to many groups of single males on Lads Holidays booked out of the UK
After reading your review of Desires we are now thinking about the couples only exp.

 

not sure about pricing but we love the los cabos area...in many ways more than cancun....and if the resort is full I am sure it would be awesome...it has a very different layout than rm and that can make the atmosphere/vibe a little bit different.

we had some friends who were there in October and loved it under the Desire format

Desire Cabo like Desire Pearl is just getting up and running with lower occupancy rates.
Desire Cabos has been averaging about $285-$335 a night or about $150 more a night than Temptation. Higher rates obviously during Xmas/NewYears & other peak weeks.

We've been to both Cabos TTR & Cancun TTR - liked Cabos better. Liked the smaller resort, less drunken frat party & more relaxing, giant 2nd story hot tub with swim up bar and view of ocean nad sound of crashing waves, and felt less rushed by the staff (nightly mob scene at Paty'Os). Cabos rooms are larger and nicer with a couch. Week we were there was 95 - 100% occupancy so it was busy. Cancun has a better beach, much softer sand and some really good dining choices and of course you have the ruins, Isla Mujeres, bigger clubs like The City & Coco Bongo, and Steve's Boob Cruise.

Not sure if we are ready for the "Desire" experience but demand has to be there as there is only 1 TTR & 3 Desires. Would love for them to bring back TTR Cabos.
