breezesfan, I do hope you return to TTR in April 2013. I'm sure I speak for all the April Addicts when I say that we will help you create amazing memories to replace the bad memories you currently have of TTR.
We'll even bring you guys a walker if you need it , Seriously the April group is the best time , hope to see you there.
Well, enough bitching about spilled milk: Bottom line is we were only at TTR for a few hours, but we had a great time. We are Hedo/Breezes regulars so here are some major differences: 1. Cancun Airport is MUCH MUCH BETTER than Montego Bay Jamaica Airport. The immigration area at MBJ isn't even air conditioned 2. TTR is much closer to the airport. In the old days Hedo provided a shuttle which was where the party started. But now it can be an 1 1/2 ordeal on a shared van. Unless you take Tim Air, which is very $$$ 3. TTR is a much more compact resort. Hedo and BGN are Sprawing with lots of Garden Areas. In both Jamaica resorts, the main areas are not air conditioned. Very hot most of the time. 4. Neither Jamaica resorts have anything like Patty Os. They have a main dinning/dancing area and a piano bar (Hedo has a Disco), but nothing like patty os 5. AT Hedo, There is lots of Open Sex and Drug use on the nude side. AHHHHH___ Like toppless, but thats about as far as we want to go. BGN is clothes optional. Somedays you feel like a nut, somedays you don't. Pretty tame 6. Really TTR beach is very nice!!!! nice calm water. BGNs main beach is the best IN THE CARRIBEAN. We will miss that!!! 7. TTR pools beat anything Hedo/BGN has hands down!!! 8. Really we think the TTR folks were much friender !!! And the ages at TTR were amazing !!! Really some of the old guys at TTR needed a Viagra pump!!! You have to be a diabetic to catch on to that one. 9. Hedo and BGN are both being sold by their owners (Superclubs). really puts a dark cloud on everything. 10. Can't really comment on the food. weren't ther very long,,, THE Coffee was GREAT however. 11. the women were much prettier at TTR and the prettiest one were not stuck on themselves. 12. Almost forgot, the $$ for TTR is much cheaper than Hedo. around $100 a nite cheaper. a little shorter flight from Atlanta, but kinda of a wash. Hope this helps.
Just spoke with Expedia and TTR has agreed to a full refund for the 4 days we missed!!! Sure we will be back in April. Maybe in March, but those are bad weather make up days and are very IFFY. My wife is trying to encourage some of her Teacher Pals to come along. Oh well, the quiet pool didn't look so bad either.
what you talking about ''bad weather ''?? April is the driest/sunniest month in Cancun. March is more $$ and more younger crowd . Unless you a teacher and don't have a choice
Yes, she really doesn't have a choice !! Spring break for our school system is April. The other ones aren't really fixed, but can change at any time. She had to get approval from the school superintendent to leave 2 hours early last Wed.
Well short story for yah. My wife and I were on the boobs cruze last year and had a few cocktails on the trip out to Isla as everyone was. When we got to the Island we wanted to go see a friend who has a condo on the other side of the Island. So we rented a golf cart, well one quick U turn and my lovely bride flew out of the cart and into the street. Good news was her head broke her fall. As a few of you might remember we made our way back to the boat looking like we just lost a bad bar fight. Steve immediately dispatched a speed boat to get us back to Cancun. Within minutes the boat reached the catamaran and speed us off back to resort where a full medical staff was there to greet us. Needless to say the resort staff was very accomidating and I never got a bill or anything. So once again Steve thanks ! See you in July ! This time no golf cart rides
when we got to the gate in Atlanta, the gate attendant took one at my wifes arm and started screaming "call 911, call 911". Found out later that she had assumed my wife broke her wrist on the flight back. I asked the ER nurse how my wife had survived being under to have her arm set. "oh, shes just great!!! only thing shes complaiing about is her body doesn't have a suntan"
I do have to say that I've seen more than 1 person fall pretty hard on some of the ramps and walkways around TTR. Mix day-long alcohol with slick surfaces and high heels and you've got a mess on your hands. Everyone, please be careful when walking around because it does get slick, and not just at the pool--around Paty O's, etc, too. When I was stung by jellyfish last September the hotel was very friendly and some guy with a First Aid kit came and put a bunch of creams, etc on the stings. No charge. Steve, thanks for the hospital recs. Hopefully won't need it, but good to know there are some recommended places to get urgent treatment.
