We did Coco Bongo's last year, so we're looking for something new this year. What do you guys recommend?
Hey TnV! Looks like we're gonna miss you by a couple weeks this year. Try not to think about all the craziness you're missing out on later in February! Here's a summary of The City and Mandala I posted in another thread. tl;dr version: City is a giant 19-year-old sausagefest, Mandala is great for a straight dance club (no show, no food, etc.) http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...-february-theme-nights-events.html#post511530
Sweet Club is high on my list as well. It's not huge like the City or Coco Bongo, but it's a pretty cool bar.
The City - Pretty epic how big the place is and its an amazing sound set-up with great effects. Yeah, its a dude-fest, but what club isn't in Cancun. And definitely a younger "club" crowd. We felt like the oldest there but didn't hold us back from dancing on the box and participating in the festivities and having a ton of fun. The show they put on for 30-minutes is very cool, starts about midnight. TTR takes its folks there on Friday. $50/head including bottle service and private seating area.
Not so sure if I am up for the dood fest, they always want to scrap cause I am a very big guy at 230 ish pounds hehe. Sigh....I dont need a night in a mexican jail by any means...
forget coco bongo.... although it will be busy every night of the week. ive been partying in cancun for many years, each night has a different place where the party organizers bring people. my advice is check out the city on fri or palazzo on wed or sat, those are the 2 best clubs in cancun. here is a list of which clubs are good for each night: sunday - sweet monday - mandala - wet tshirt contest tuesday - cabana beach - bikini contest wed - palazzo - pole dance contest thurs - daddyo friday - the city saturday - palazzo palazzo is the old bulldog that was just renovated and taken over by the city group. if your not buying bottles and going for the all you can drink wristband type deal stay away from daddyo, anyone who has been there can describe the lineup process to get a drink paper and then line up again for a drink. mandala usually has some sort of crowd any night of the week. if you dont like being crowded and surrounded by young rowdy 19 year olds at the city ask for service from the bottle list and get seated on the stage in the vip section (you can find me there tonight). the bottle prices are between 2000-3000 pesos for something like grey goose or vsop hennessy
