Last year we were able to book Oasis Cancun on Orbitz for $200 / night. This year, I just searched for availability, and it looks like Oasis is completely sold out on Orbitz, and is going for $800 / night on Hotels.com Is there some huge event / festival going on at Oasis that I don't know about? Or is it simply that the tour operators (StudentCity, etc.) have booked up all the rooms there, so there aren't any options other than going through them? Separately, if Oasis isn't an option, but we're looking for a similar sort of party atmosphere, what's the next closest thing? From the searches I've done so far, it sounds like it'd be Krystal?
Don't think anyone on the forum works for Oasis. Probably easier to call the hotel and find out directly from the source.
You may want to look elsewhere. As travel agent I just found out that Oasis is going to become an All Adult Resort...That could be what has driven up the price and made it sold out as well. Im sure the culture of Oasis will change be affected, now that it is all adult.
