Its quite simple if you ask me: Considering what an impact a US President can/has on the world, Im quite thankful that the current one isnt an axe-wielding type of person. The election affects all of us, foreign or American. Living south of your border, means that me and most ex-pats in Mexico are affected as well.

The other things I mentioned was the fact that regardless if the difference would be a few % or 90%, these same people would not stop complaining and yelling "bloody murder!"

Im still curious as why all of them sat quietly when G W Bush won his first election, even though the missing votes-scandal was discovered.

I guess its a-ok as long as its benefits ones own agenda/s?

What does Al Gores debate comments have to do with the fact that Obama won the election itself? I commented on the fact that, with results in hand, this bunch of wackos(Trump, Palin etc.) still cant accept the fact that they lost.

Ahhh, Palin... Her name sends chills down my spine. Is she the dumbest VP candidate Ive ever experienced? Quite possibly so. The thought of her being second in command of one of the most powerful nations scared the living hell out of me... Ugh.

I personally think that the conservatives need to put the dear old Bible down for a sec and start focusing on REAL life if they want to have a shot at the Presidency. The amount of stupidity that comes from the likes of Palin, Ryan etc. clearly is hurting the Repubs. Who allows them to say these stupid things? Or worse: Do they themselves realize what their comments do the party and its candidate..? The conservatives need to "modernize" themselves - waaaaay out of touch as they are now.

Now its time for this scary Socialist to hit the sack ;)

I would like to nominate Karl Rove as the biggest 'Cry Baby' this election cycle. His election night rant & rave has quite entertaining.

Happy Veterans Day to all our heros! Especially to my Dad who is a 90 year old WWII vet. His Liberty Ship was topedoed off the coast of Russia by a German uboat. I like to think he had balls to do what he did. I don't think the people who go into business for themselves, by any means, have the balls market cornered.

Dubya didn't win his first election. He was appointed by the Supreme Court.

Interesting comments to say the least. Rawkus, I do understand the effect that our elections have on other countries. I travel enough to be aware that, for better or worse, our culture and influence is felt all over the world. I guess I'm amazed that you would be so pro-Obama and anti anyone whom may be "labeled" as a conservative. The cry babies were out in force during the Bush years on the other side and no matter who would have won the election there would be those that would be screaming. I think we've got to get you to turn off MSNBC and catch some other form of info.

As far as dumb VP nominees go, please let me nominate the arrogant and ignorant Joe Biden. It's funny that people just dismiss him as "just Joe" while pillorying Palin. Those that I have talked to in Alaska when we were there this summer really liked her as a governor but I guess the way the media portrays her is the only way to view her.

I do agree that the religious right definitely hurt the Republican cause. The two clowns who made the idiotic rape comments deserved to pushed back into the dustbin of obscurity forever. Anytime the mix of politics and religion comes into play, the outcome will never be good. How to remove that portion of the mix will be the tough challenge of the Party going forward.

Rightstuff, no one ever said that those of us who started our own businesses had a corner on the balls market. It just takes a lot of courage and ambition to start your own business. My joke is that it takes more balls than brains....you've got to have balls enough to think you're better at something and not be smart enough to know that you're not!

BTW, many of my clients who own their own businesses tend to be veterans. Some of us spent years of our lives in the military and our heroes welcome was to be pushed, called names and spit upon by those same people who call themselves liberals today. So if I have a great deal of disdain for the left, it is well earned.

It is so ironic that the left is having a fit about the "fiscal cliff" that we are about to face. Now they are screaming about the fact that the Bush tax cuts are going to expire and the devastating effect it will have on the economy. My, oh my, do you mean that maybe those tax cuts helped keep the Recession from being worse than it was? And all this time I thought was the free spending of Obama who led us out of the dark times of 9% unemployment and into these wonderful days of 8% unemployment.

To the Democrats ……..No Hard Feelings:

    The election day is over,

    The talking is done.

My party lost, your party won.

    So let us be friends,

    Let arguments pass.

    I'll hug my elephant,

    You can kiss your ass……

Wow, I'm really surprised to see a statement like that on a TTR forum. The whole mantra of TTR is acceptance and a statement like that is pretty much just another petty prejudice. I almost expect a statement like that to be followed by "All blacks are good dancers and eat watermelon and fried chicken." Sorry, but I don't buy any of the prejudices like this one.

If someone decides to follow a particular religion, that is their perogative and as long as it doesn't interfere with you, then that is their right. A blanket statement that people who have religion are under educated is pretty undeducated in its face. If you look closely you'll find that almost all of the Ivy League schools were founded as religious institutions and many still have Divinity Schools.

Without reading every post here, seems like some think the inner city dwellers, the illegal aliens and criminals did not vote Obama. Look at the election map. He attracted the border people and city people.

The best one was the City of Philadelphia where in 59 districts Obama got just under 20,000 votes and Romney got none. That's right, zip, zilch, nada, or in any language you could possibly say nothing. Just think, not one person voted for Romney by mistake or even one person preferred him to Obama. Sorry, but that one little tidbit either screams racism or vote buying or both. Of course it could just be pure corruption, but hey we really don't need a voter ID system, do we?

are people still crying about the election? it's over. let's work together to move forward for the good of our country. those crooks (dem and rep) don't have our best interest at hand, so we need to get our act together to enact change.

just as someone posted on facebook today, there is never any talk of freezing the president or congress pay until the budget is balanced. Nor are any of their entitlements ever in jeopardy. They are the biggest recipients of welfare IMHO.
