Depends who your provider is,, if its a big charter then you may be stuck on a full coach bus and TTR is at the other end of the strip.

USA transfer is the most popular choice

We have flown with sunwing 3 times...we ditch the included charter bus and use USA...much faster...we then use the supplied charter on the return trip to the airport...we just tell our sunwing rep that we have another ride...that way they don't think you never showed up...and you are still booked in for the return charter...

We used the shared the first time and it took and extra hour or more to get to TTR. Then we found CCC and heard of USA Transfers and used them last year. USA Transfers all the way. They are fast and super friendly.

I am actually thinking of going to Walmart when we get there also. Last year I was craving potato chips, paid $8 for a bag across the street. I hate to spend that time at walmart though, less time at the sexy pool. What to do!

Always gone the back way to get to TTR. 1 of the 3 years they went through the strip to get to the airport on the way home. Was so hungover (and upset about leaving) that I cannot tell you if it took any longer.

FYI - The first year, I asked them to wait while I got us a couple of beers at the airport outdoor bar. The driver told me not to waste my money and that he would stop at a mini-mart at a gas station rightt outside the airport. Got a 12-pack for less than what 2 beers would have cost me.

Does anyone have experience with the private transfers booked through RedTag in Canada? How does it work?

Since the fares are already set and are not metered, I can only imagine the driver would get you to the resort the fastest/easiest way he could. When cabs are metered, long hauling can be a problem. Longer trip=bigger fare.
