Hey Bob, I think here in Buffalo we are part Canadian anyway. My largest client is Canadian and many of my clients have summer homes in Canada. Many, and at times most, of the folks at our local malls are Canadian and Buffalo Airport would be a ghost town if it wasn't for the Canadian traveler. Besides, who could possibly dislike a little beaver once in a while! Ed
As we compare the US and Canada, just remember that in the US anyone can be President. That's the risk we take!
And we will continue to be reminded of that for the next four years. Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result?
A recent survey by the Economist Magazine had Canada as the ninth best place to be born in 2013. The US did not make the list. Again, that good Canadian beaver makes those of you in the Great White North live longer. I can't think of any other reason, can you?
Jeff, it's funny that you would bring up your health care now. I just got a call from a client of mine who makes prosthetics about part of Obama's health care plan. Well, our good old Pres has added a new tax on prosthetics. So if someone has lost an arm or a leg or even teeth, there is a new tax on it so that we can help to pay for Obamacare. I guess that gives new meaning to the term of costing an arm and a leg.
