    I feel bad for TTR as well, I imagine that the unfortunate people who aren't members of this site (and therefore, potentially unaware that their $99 vacation is a scam) are gonna be all kinds of pissed off when they are standing in the lobby, ready to start their vacation and the desk has to tell them to pay up or stay elsewhere. I really hope that F&S is contacting everyone as they say they are.

    We always book our All-inclusive vacation "package" through Sunwing, here in Canada. Champagne Flight, hotel and transfers are all rolled into one neat little package. We may pay a little more, but we have peace of mind and if anything goes awry, I only have to make one phone call to our travel agent at TPI to get it fixed. We actually booked our May 2013 vacation/wedding back in July, recieved our confirmation within 48hrs and haven't lost a seconds sleep over it since. She even put together flight packages for some friends of ours coming in from London UK to fly out of Edmonton with us under the same package. I'm not sure how things are put together in the US, but it sure seems to be alot of work for the traveller, and a fair amount of risk. YIKES.... I don't envy our friends south of the border.

    Incidentally, we booked May 8-22 with upgraded Direct flights (and bigboy seats), priority check-in at the airport, Non-ocean-view room, transfers to and from the resort for less than $1900 pp including taxes and fees. (Keep in mind that we are flying from western Canada) I'm not sure how that compares to what everyone else is paying, but we are happy with it. (Peace of mind comes with a price that I am willing to pay)

    I finally talked to someone today. Their arrogance and refusal to admit they were in the wrong did get to me a little so I fought the battle with them for a little while. They kept saying so you want to cancel? I kept saying no I don't want to cancel, I want you to honor the $99 price. I had the sneaky suspicion that everything was being recorded so if they had to they could go back to the tape of the customer saying they wanted it cancelled. Eventually they said what others have heard... That they were calling everyone to inform them. I reminded them that I called them and it has been three weeks. I reiterated that they sold a 99 package and it is immaterial that they can't get that price with Temptations. They should make up the difference. The rep actually agreed and put me on hold. Then came back and said the reason they have not contacted people yet is they are still working with Temptations to get the $99 package and have not given up but they will not cover the difference. I of course said bull____ and informed them I would be calling my credit card company, contacting the bbb and writing reviews on every website I could. She then says so you want a cancellation? I said no again and thank you for your time. I just got the cancellation email. Now I start my travel site war with fun and sun :)

Also, in fact, why did the resort have the record of the stay and was awaiting the money of which F&S did not pay to the resort while my vacation was placed "on hold"? F&S, if they had no more allotments with the resort, why were they able to offer a room at $199/nt and then again later to up their price on their web site to $299/nt. All the while every customer service rep said they are no longer affiliated with Temptation Resort. I beleive this to be a scam of some type in that F&S intentionally planned on obtaining peoples money for the said price and never intended on paying the resort for the stay, leaving dozens of people, myself included, without a place to stay on their vacation and out their money. Yes I do agree that I signed to agreement of payment with F&S but for a service in which I feel was never going to be intended to pay to the resort and I would have never gotten the agreement that I had paid for. I know of mulitple people with the same problem with this company.[/FONT]

Then to have the store I bought it from say we need an extra $200 dollars before we could deliver because we messed up.That would not be acceptable and has not held up in a court of law against major reatil giants for having prices marked and then having them ring up different.     [FONT=&quot] I feel, an internal issue even as regretable as it is, is not an excuse to dishonor an agreement that was made and paid for. I did not ask for a refund and I also specifically told them NOT TO refund my money as my vacation was more important. They made no such attempt to properly explain the situation and made multiple other excuses. When I asked to speak to a person higher in charge I was told that they could no longer speak to me on the matter. I find this type of buisiness practice wrong and untruthful. I would again ask that they hold up their end of the bargain even though it was an internal issue and if need be absorb the remainder of the cost per night if need be in order to get a legitimate reservation.[/FONT][FONT=&quot][/FONT]

    To be fair I did research this Place.
    The three threads you link refer to three complaints, you forgot the one from the BBB of FL.

    The BBB has 13 complaints against them in 3 years.(most of them from2010)
    So 16 complaints over 3 years is not that bad for a travel broker.

    Their Web page scared me more then their record.
    The only reason I booked was that we have at least 45 days with our CC to reverse the charges if we suspect fraud.
    I was waiting for the Hotel Confirmation #, at which point I would have called TTR to confirm..
    At no time did I risk a penny.
    We were just deceived by a crooked broker who didn't make good on their mistake and took their sweet time to let us know and refund our CC.

    Using that theory no one would go to TTR,, cause there's a lot of bad reviews on Trip advisor against TTR

    Exact same logic with us. Well put. Research any resort/booking agent and you will find as much or more complaints. Which is why it is important that everyone files with bbb, posts on trip advisor, etc so others return many complaints when they search on fun and sun in the future.

    The research was done and the gamble was taken like Donald said. The problem with doing internet searches is that "everything on the internet is true, you can't put it on there if it isn't". Take for example the TA reports for TTR. If you read all those and believed every one of them, you would probably never come.

    I understand the legitimacy of needing to know what you could be getting into but to have a company swindle people without any retrobution is not something I am willing to stand by and just say "oh well, I took a gamble". Yes I did gamble and lost but I am not going to allow the blackjack dealer to stack the deck in his favor and just take my money.

    I just got an email from Fun and Sun stating my refund has been processed. (I requested the refund 7 days ago) The email had a transaction # and an Authorization code. I did not see anything on my credit card account... but has only been an hour since they processed this.
