counting down the days until vacation and just realizing that the dreaded time of the month is most likely going to overlap :(

my "dangerous curves" bikini & yandy clothing on its way is just not going to have the coverage needed for a least a couple of days if this in fact happens

Any recommendations??? years ago I would manipute cycle with bc pills, but too old for now and dr will not prescribe!!!

guys, no crude comments please... gals, PM any ways you have handled this? my mind is drawing a blank, and the hormones are not helping!!!

    Look this up...Endometrial Ablation
It may not work for you now (time wise), but perhaps a long term fix.

Another option you could look into is a product called "Instead". Doesn't stop the monthly, but it takes care of the "coverage" concern.

Before I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago, I used Instead sometimes and it worked great. My husband said he could feel it was there, but it allowed for "play" without the look of a crime scene :icon_redface:

Of all the decisions I have made in my life, getting rid of this one is up there among the BEST decisions that have been life-altering!!

If you can't get a prescription from your doctor for BC pills, go to Planned Parenthood and get a pack and start taking them a week before your trip. I'm no doctor, but that is what I would have done back in the day to avoid the messy visitor!! :aktion061: Good luck!!

I've used the Diva Cup before but the Instead one seems a little more comfortable. Plus they say it's sex friendly.

x2 for endometrial ablation. No more monthly visitors. There's still the, ahem, cranky time and it's a little harder to track but the results are well worth it!

ok, you all are a wealth of information... I gotta look into this "instead" thing??? and bribing a friend who is still on the pill for a month of hers? planned parenthood is an idea, however I am a little too upfront and find altering the truth very difficult to do, along with the stir-ups.

have never heard of the ablation thing, is this a voluntary proceed? done by ob/gyno???... they can take the whole thing as far as I care, those days are long over (I dont even like children!).... hoping for a family history that is early menopause!

if you are still having cycles and your doctor refuses to prescribe you birth control pills to manipulate your period you need a new doctor...simple as that....seriously.
