Great news ! ! !:huepfen021: We have just received an anonymous tip as to the where abouts of Jeff & Marissa. Well, at least what city they are in. Hey, it's a start. We will continue to update the concerned TTR patrons as the rescue attempt progresses. Till then, may the count downs continue with great anticipations. Dave & Mary

 

We will be bringing there long lost cousin with us on our FEb 16 trip! Hope to introduce her to her long lost cousins!

 

More great news! The captors have agreed to a reasonable ransom and we have a date and time to meet, Dec. 3rd. If all goes well, Jeff & Marissa shall soon return to TTR to once again become those social butterflies that all the guests enjoy. :aktion033::aktion033::aktion033::aktion033:

Well we thought we should ask for proof of life. Just making sure they didn't just get trashed. (the bad kind involving a dumpster, not alcohol):ernaehrung024:

This must have angered their captures as they threatened to cut off Jeff's hand.

What a difficult time for the "air-headed Love Birds" to have been in captivity for nearly 8 months.:icon_sad::icon_sad:



We will not be able to look after them beyond Dec. 10th. Please . . .Please
if there are any cancuncare folks out there willing to look after Jeff & Marissa's welfare, please contact us. As we surely don't want to see them suffer any harm.

Proof of Life Photo -- Maybe not

Unfortunately, I think the fate of the lightweight couple is still in doubt. If you look closely at Jeff you'll see that he only has one note that was written by us (Tim & Laurie) in marker pen when we passed them on to the to the next adoptive parents (Derek and Kelsey). No further markings can be seen in this photo on Jeff. We know that Derek and Kelsey also wrote messages on the dolls when they passed them on.

Also, Marissa suffered significant injuries to one of her arms in early April and there is no evidence of such in this picture. In conclusion, this photo was probably taken by Derek and Kelsey before their disappearance. In all likelihood the whereabouts of Jeff and Marissa may still be a mystery.

Good luck and best wishes to all that seek to rescue them and put them back into service. If they aren't found beforehand we will make it part of our mission to do so when we arrive on March 19, 2013.

Correction.... the notes shown in this photo of the kids were written by Derek and Kelsey (our notes were written on their backsides). Still though..... this photo was taken before they officially went missing.

These two are definitely imposters. The smiles/faces do not match the original Jeff and Marissa. While it's a close facsimile, that's not my writing either. My comment has been forged. However, the spirit in these two live on.. and I guess that's what matters. =)

PS - we are not sure if we're going to make it this March after all. We may be doing an April trip instead. We'll keep y'all posted.
