Hi.. I'm about to go and order my currency.. As I've read a few posts on here about tipping in Dollars, I was wondering if I should order just Peso's, or mainly Peso's and some US Dollars? I'm changing from £'s so it would be cheaper to just pay commision on one transaction of Pounds to Peso rather than Peso & Dollars... Or is there any other benefit of taking $$? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :icon_biggrin:
Also.. If anyone from the UK knows of any company's offering particularly good exchange rates for £ to Peso.. Feel free to pass on your knowledge!
Don't think you will do much better than the Post Office. 19.48 today (no commission). Been told to take plenty of small notes for the tips
I always use www.bestforeignexxhange.com and there is always a queue as they always top every comparison site. Just did a check and they are offering $19.95 to £1 I got $20 to £1 last week Not sure if they are only London based though

ibiza I am from the uk , but live in ibiza and i can only get usd dollars , not pesos, so i just change dollars to pesos when there, but tend to use mainly dollars., but if you can get them at a good deal its better getting pesos I think.
I was asking about the same thing a while ago (peso or american dollar) from what I gathered the people at the resort prefer pesos so that they can use it right away when they leave work. Also the 20 peso bill which i believe is just under 2 american dollars is apparently waterproof so perfect for the pool. I think someone mentioned having american dollars for the Boobs Cruise though....cant remember for sure. We are planning on bringing a stack of 20 peso bills to use primarily for general tips around the resort.
