I hope everyone gets thru this without a lot of damage. There also will be some people missing their flights to/from Cancun, and I hope this works out OK also.
Just left cancun yesterday for BWI on Sunday.Flight was not as bad as we thought.Not great just better then we thought. LOL The talk at the resort was all about staying extra days Had a ball but 8 nights was enogh glad we got home.
Thinking about you guys, seeing that the eye of the storm is headed toward you - stay safe!! I saw some pics of Atlantic City and it doesn't look good :icon_cry:
They cancelled our flight out on tuesday from Pittsburgh and now we get out on thursday, thus we will miss the Halloween Party!!! Delta and TTR were able to push everything back two days now, so at least we don't lose any time in the sun!!! Keep the pool sexy and the drink cold because we will need them for sure now!!!
That stinks. Glad u still get to go and don't have to shorten the trip. I am sitting here in the dark. No power. Fierce winds outside. Branches hitting the house. Only thing working are the flashlights and my cell phone. Instead of saving the cell phone battery for an emergency I am on cancuncare dreaming about an April/may trip. Really need a vacation!
One tree was up-rooted but just missed the house, power was out for 24 hours (we have a generator) and we pumped about 70 gallons of water out of the basement. Compared to other folks in our area we were blessed.
Glad you guys made it through ok. :aktion033: We are about 20 miles inland from you and were very lucky as well. I think the eye passing right over us last night turned out to be a good thing. Those on the northside of the eye (NYC) look like they may have been hammered much worse. Firm
