You guys are all doing so well... Way to go.. I'm stuck and so be it, not beating myself over it, high stress and long hours at work... my excuse and sticking to it.. but there is truth behind it...LOL but still plugging along...LOL
NormaSnockers & I have our first meeting with our personal trainer / nutrition coach on monday... Should be interesting... Anybody ever heard of Body by Vi shakes? I ran into an old friend who is now selling this stuff... Its a direct marketing kind of thing, so I'm always weary... And apparently all the people that work at the new gym we joined are also on the bandwagon, so I'm trying to get some more outside opinions...
Still working on it too. It's time to kick ass on this as after halloween comes christmas and the 6 weeks of chocolate at work.
Well Crap.. I'm sitting here drinking coffee, eating chips and getting caught up on this thread. (male half of kscpl) At this rate we'll need the Fire Dept to open up a wall so the fork truck can get me loaded up in a Cargo Plane for our next trip to TTR. :angrymad:
Down to 256 after workout #1 yesterday! So 10 pounds in about 2 weeks... Went back with wife for workout #2 and she fell mid workout and broke her pinky toe so we don't know how long she'll be out for...
I'm thinking maybe we can work that into our first session with the trainer to see what I can do upper body wise so I'm not just sitting around on my ass until I'm all healed up. I really can't afford to lose my motivation...
So I gotta say the guys at the gym were really impressed last night... We walked in with her on crutches, and the first words out of their mouths were "How long are you out for?" followed by "I'll go get the paperwork so we can delay your membership 6 weeks or so so that money isn't just wasted", and she responded with "oh no, we're just here so you can let the personal trainer know we need to adapt my workout around it". They were all kinds of excited & inspired to see she wasn't giving up. I'm proud of her.
haha!. solution .. pick up the chips.. walk over to the garbage, open lid and dispense chips in the can.. hahaha if only it were that easy!..
lol.. funny you mention that. Yesterday wife & I were watching Kathie Lee & Skoda or whatever her name is while in the waiting room of the Dr office... And they were discussing the "food in the trash" factor... And the to remove or not to remove debate (AKA 5 second rule)...
You two are off to a great start! I think it's really beneficial that you are doing it together. Often one can push the other to keep it up when the motivation is running thin. For example, if Norma is working through a broken toe, I think you have got no choice but to give it your all as well. Good luck to both of you.
