This sounds like a waste of time for sure, but how will I find my room if the only way to get a map is through the time share people. Is there one online?
Tell them firmly you're not interested....or stick close to Rene when checking in, he'll give them the eye...lol...a bellman will take you to your room.
I just tell them that I'm having a bathroom emergency and can't talk right now...in the land of Montezuma's Revenge, they run the other direction ha ha.
When we checked in, they asked us to sit down and listen to the whole deal... I said i had researched it online, and at the moment it wasn't for us, but I may consider it in the future... She asked about the resort map, and I said sure, and we sat down for a minute, she showed us where the restaurants were on the map, was very polite, then wrote down her name and extension, and gave us the info, and we were on our way. As far as finding your room the first time, when you check in, the bellhops take your luggage then will bring it to your room... You simply follow them. :wink3:
Same wit us we sat down I made it clear we did not want anything to do with it and we were done in less the 5 mins. You just have to be clear you do not want it and you will be fine. If you are not straight with them right up front they will waste a lot of your time
Hi guys, I've been in contact with a timeshare "owner" and it looks like we might book through this person's premier original resort membership. The price is pretty good and all the perks sound like a bonus, although we'll have to listen to the timeshare presentation...(I'm just going to tell them we're working on our Master's degree and have no money)...but are these guys the real deal? I was just sent an invoice for payment (due 30 days before the actual trip), but I was expecting an invoice directly from TTR. Any input?
We are members and yes, when we book we need to pay 30 days in advance. We already have out dates booked for May 2013, but have not paid for them yet. Question for you, did you do a referral week or did you buy a week off them? If you did the referral week, you have to do the presentation as part of the agreement. That is actually how we want down last year and ended up buying a membership ourselves. I believe if you bought a week off a member, you are free and clear from the presentation.
We just got home from Temptation today. After checking in, the "concierge" said that she would give us a "tour" of the property. When I politely declined she said..."so, you're not into saving money huh?"....to which I replied, "I just did." :aktion033:
