I assume these are the ones near Wet n Wild? First version from my "source", is that the victims are from Los Pelones, and they got executed by the ruling Zetas, their bodies then dumped in the HZ. Second version: Zetas vs Zetas... I have a feeling there will be +15 versions, with none of them being the "real one"... Now the officials have to decide whom did it and whose side to take: If its the ones tied to the Govt = no further investigations.
It's gruesome, it's disgusting, it doesn't make anyone feel good, but no one disputes that it was just another example of cartel on cartel violence, and a relatively small one at that. The bodies were dumped at near the far south end of the HZ, near Wet and Wild Water Park; but, even if they had been dumped behind Senor Frogs, it still wouldn't amount to a significantly increased risk to tourists here, as I see it. _________________________
They weren't entirely decapitated, but close. Heads still on, throats slit. This has been happening for years! Regardless of whether it was Zeta on Zeta, los Pelones on Zeta, or El Golfo on Zeta (what Por Esto stated), nobody who wasn't somehow involved in the carteles was harmed.
Regardless of who they were, where they were killed and where they were dumped this crap puts tourists off coming here............ If one more person says to me "murders happen everywhere "! I may scream. People did not get decapitated in sleepy Sussex. I dont like it .
No decapitations in my area lately either....... Some may be ok with it, but a lot of travelers, probably not. Zetas or not. One thing I have noticed totally off topic was that the Wheel of Fortune no longer has prize puzzles with Mexican vacations. Well not totally off topic.
Although I would also guess that Mexico has less serial killers, shooting rampages, bombings and planes flying into buildings than the USA.
